I haven't seen anybody saying that.

Ortiz just didn't excite anybody with his plodding, methodical, counter punching style and his dour personality.

There was nothing about him that made the UK fans think, "hey .. this guy against AJ would be a great fight!

Does any world champion ever want a mandatory challenger who has no fan base and brings no money to the table?

Not really wanting to fight him is one thing .. being scared of him is something else.

Be honest .. was there anything about Ortiz's performances against Malik Scott and Dave Allen that would have made Hearn and AJ scared of fighting him?

Yeah, counter punchers are rarely entertaining, especially in the higher weight classes where he could just be studying you for a round and then KO you out of nowhere (his last fight) at least lower weight class counter punchers will have exchanges

IF this happens, and that is still a fairly HUGE if, there will be no one happier than me. Ortiz needs bigger fights. No doubt. He has a very thin resume and a reputation. He is in need of proving himself, and while I will pick him I understand he has yet to prove it against a fighter of Whyte's caliber.

I swear, 24 months ago I thought Whyte was an overrated trash talker barely worth commenting on. This guy fights. I understand the HW division right now is only a few fighters deep, but Whyte has done what so many other fighters refuse to do: Take on whoever is out there to build his rep. If he decides to risk his payday with Joshua by throwing down with Ortiz over Chisora, I will be a fan of his for life no matter if he wins or loses. Throw in that he is a fun interview.

Boy, I will be bummed when in a few weeks it ends up being Chisora and Ortiz settles for a club level fighter on the Wilder pay-per-view.

Finkle clearly stated, Wilder's baby bottle wasn't warm enough to fight Wlad for Undisputed 33-0. Yes, he will over 30 fights into his career and wasn't prepared for an Undisputed fight but AJ has pretty much fought the division within 22-23 fight.

The stadium was full of eric Molina fans when he fought aj, molina was the big draw card that sold the 90'000 seats. They all turned up to see him not even try to throw punch and cower next to the ropes waiting for his cheque.

Yeah, the fans expected a lot more from Molina after watching highlights of him landing clean shots and sending Wilder staggering around the ring on rubber legs.

But he turned out to be levels below AJ.

Idiot. He wasn't rated when he fought AJ because he was WBO champ. After the loss to Whyte, he was rated 5 and I believe currently 6.

Thats an under statement. The first fighter I've ever seen not even bother to walk to the middle of the ring for the opening bell.

Should of been ruled a no contest he put so little effort in, and fans should of been refunded.Eddie should of been disciplined for such a crap card.
