it certainly is possible if demand is high enough just not based on the way they release. for instance, pacuqiao and mayweather sold an estimated 1000 tickets in under 60 seconds, at that rate they'd have sold out MGM in less than 20 minutes.

it's all about how they release the tickets, who gets their handson them in the seconady market, how many tickets go to the venue or partnering hotels, etc.

I was referring to TV viewership. Someone commented on Wilder fights doing a million or so. I'd have hoped for more in such a large country but I don't know how things are over there, hence the question.

He's #2 in his division, with twice as many points as #3. That tells me that the quality of his opposition is stronger than almost any other top fighter in his division.

But I never questioned it.. I said he doesn't deserve a plaudit for fighting a mandatory. That was my first message in this thread to you... That he and really no fighter deserves plaudits for fighting their mandatory challenger.

If you're replying to someone who is stating he fights bums or doesn't take risks..then reply to them with whatever logic you want to use. But that wasn't me.. so don't reply to me with posts that have nothing to do with what I said.

I said he doesn't deserve plaudits for fighting a mandatory.. not that he fights bums and bad opponents. And I'll say the same for any fighter. End of.

He does if it's in response to the argument that he avoids risks at all costs and only fights bums. Fighters who avoid risks at all costs ditch belts. Fighters who avoid risks at all costs don't honor purse bids that will force them to go to Moscow.

But that wasn't what you and I were talking about, that was your retort to somebody making that claim. It only works when that is your reply to somebody making that argument, and i wasn't making it.

Ive stated nobody deserves plaudits for fighting a mandatory. That's our topic... that you and I are talking about.

I want you to tell me , as a counter to my opinion, someone deserves plaudits for fighting a mandatory using my thought process that wilder deserves his rank, and has fought opponents such as ortiz of a good level that shows he isnt a ducker.

why does he deserve a plaudit from me personally given my thought process?

                      For both men.

After this, neither guy will have to hear that A-side nonsense from Hearn ever again.

No way can AJ be A-side to a guy selling well in the biggest market there is, one he hasn't sold on ticket or PPV in.
I agree and second that notion. Deontay Wilder has just so happened to have piqued interest back into American Heavyweight boxing again. The American people are generally excited about this fight.
