Total bollocks of course... though it's ironic having **** Sensation talk about what it means to be unthinkingly biased towards a fighter.Originally posted by Asian SensationIt's because of the geography of the sport. The only way Hatton can break through as one of the pre-eminent stars of the sport outside of the UK is by becoming an elite fighter, and fighting Mayweather would accomplish that. Being that Hatton's only answer for Mayweather's challenges has been a reluctant "someday", the only way the bloody wankers who sucj his **** can defeat Mayweather and the stigma attached to having their native son duck his greatest challenge is in the court of public opinion.

Oscar De La Hoya - gifted against Sturm.Originally posted by AllEyesOpenLMFAO, why don't European fighters come to the states, In the US you dont have hometown judges, you fight in vegas, or atlantic city or some sh%$. The problems is that UK fighters need to fight bums in their own backyards, they're afraid to come to the US and face real skilled fighters. I got nothing against UK fighters or fans, except that some of you guys honestly believe Hatton is the greatest, & i don't follow the logic, I'm not saying he not real good, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near PBF's caliber.
Jeff Lacy... fought his whole career in the US... his two biggest wins against washed-up bums. Came to the UK and got smashed up.
Jesus, this "they need to come to the US" is so ****ing old and moronic it's untrue.Comment

Personally I do have a distrust of the "multi-weight titlists", because it's a boxrec confidence trick in many cases. Roy Jones successfully worked his way up the divisions without hardly ever facing a top 5 opponent in the divisions he was in, and Floyd is doing the same.
Put it this way - people are rating Floyd as a 140 guy, when the only guys he beat at 140 were third-tier fighters Gatti, Corley and Bruselles. At 147 he won a non-existent IBF title that HBO sold us as a serious championship fight. So we tune in to HBO and hear them talk about him as a "four-weight champ", but it's plainly bull****.Comment

Margarito is doing everything in his power to try and get a match with Floyd, but Floyd wants nothing to do with him.Originally posted by El Temibleyeah but didnt cotto's promoter say they wanted none of PBF until 2007 i can find the link
also didnt hatton, mosley, margarito all turn him down in 2005 i can again find the link
also it was general consensus Judah just under-trained for Baldo much like Morales - Raheem but he still got his pacman fight so my point is sometime the big fights that dont come off arent his faultComment

You can't be serious. Who has Judah ever beaten that was a quality opponent. Don't even throw feather fisted Spinks in there. How the hell does he get considered in the p4p list. when he has never beaten a quality opponent. Everytime he is in a big fight, he melts down. Judah may have A class talent but mentally he can never put it together. He is not an A class fighter. You can have all the talent in the world, but if you can't mentally put it together it doesn'y mean ****. I don't see how you, or anyone for that matter could have had him in a p4p list. I always felt that Judah was overrated and everytime he is in a big fight he proves it. I'm not trying to hate on you, it's just a proven fact, and than people want to say that he went into the Baldomir fight unprepared. If he can't be prepared for that fight, with the biggest fight of his life on the brink knowing the consequuences if he loses that is just another example to prove my point.Originally posted by El Temiblei wil be honest judah was in my p4p list after the spinks fightComment

Floyd and Roy are not the same person. All the people who wanted to see Roy fight Eubank, Benn, etc. must realize from the words of these men's own mouths that Roy was not the only impediment to the fight happening.
Floyd's situation is not like Roy's. Floyd has better comp available to him. AHowever, Cotto and Hatton both I believe are on record as saying they don't want Mayweather yet.Comment

Unfortunately, this comparison just doesn't hold up to the sniff test. The UK is much smaller than the U.S. and there is much more of a hometown treatment no matter what city the fighter is from, so long as he is from the UK. The U.S. is very large and favoritisms are generally shown on a state-by-state basis, and Lacy fought plenty of fights outside of Florida.Jeff Lacy... fought his whole career in the US... his two biggest wins against washed-up bums. Came to the UK and got smashed up.
So no, you can't use the fact that a guy stays in the U.S. against him. Sorry.Comment
