Why do people from the UK hate Mayweather?

I think the problem with Mayweather is the same as all these other American fighters. They stay in their country with hometown judges and referees, and never fight in other countries. Grow some balls man and come to Europe!!!

im from UK - i like PBF i think he could become a great if he fights hatton,cotto, magarito etc. he could beat both cotto and hatton i dont know bout magarito i havent seen him fight. to the person who seems to think that were closet racists - shut up. to SHB think about it - our fighters do exactly the same and if your with frank warren you definatley gonna stay in england and get spoon fed. i like his attitude and the fact that he comes across ****y because at the moment he can back it up.

Its because they know Mayweather will destroy Hatton like he did Corrales. Im a big fan of Cotto but I dont see him beating Mayweather either. He looked confused at time against Malignaggi so just imagine what Mayweather would do, plus a suspect chin. I dont see what the hype is about Margarito except the hype itself. Why wont Floyd fight him??? Maybe to make us think it's more dangerous then it really is. But he will fight him and we're all gonna watch.

Im from the Uk and think that there is no better fighter out there that compares to Floyd Mayweather Jr, The guy is a awesome awesome fighter and that cant be taken away from him, The part that I dont understand is the UK bashing that goes on from a very small minority on this messageboard (some of you may want to look Minority up in the dictionary or ask your mamma`s ) everytime somebody says anything about Hatton they bring us (Uk Citizens) into the argument like we automatically like Hatton, Calzaghe etc I personally dont think much of the both of them but do know that it would take a guy willing to go to hell to beat them, So all im asking is think before you post s**t about Uk people

LMFAO, why don't European fighters come to the states, In the US you dont have hometown judges, you fight in vegas, or atlantic city or some sh%$. The problems is that UK fighters need to fight bums in their own backyards, they're afraid to come to the US and face real skilled fighters. I got nothing against UK fighters or fans, except that some of you guys honestly believe Hatton is the greatest, & i don't follow the logic, I'm not saying he not real good, but he doesn't seem to be anywhere near PBF's caliber.

in the eys of usa a european fighter has to conquer america to be considered elite , but yet if your an american fighter and have got a fair-good record your elite? why dont american fighters travel to europe. cause whereever the fight happens your gonna hev the complications on the same fighters wether its in the us or the uk

I am from the UK and think PBF is the best p4p around at the minute.
I would say for all the UK PBF haters though there are twice as many Hatton haters from the US, I like both fighters so I can sit back and watch.
There is no rule that says you must be from certain country to be a great, the USA have produced the most great fighters but the UK have done well considering the size of the country.

The UK founded the sport the USA developed it to what it is today!

What never ceases to amaze me from both sides is the complete lack of knowledge of a fighter that people then criticise or hate.

To hate or criticise without good founded evidence or ill- informed knowledge makes the critique look arrogant and un-educated.

Is it because he is constantly compared to Hatton? The reason I am sayin this is because everytime a pro Mayweather thread is started, the bashing starts with the UK members calling Mayweather a pu$$y and arguing about his p4p status. Why do you guys dislike him so much?

I dont think its limited to just the UK members...it at countries as well...half of the folks on this site hate pretty boy...you know when you are the best at what you do the world is either going to love you or hate you...as of now, most on here hate pretty boy...thats why he sells because people pay hoping he's going to lose...
