GGG is not some super boxer either, he is a very good boxer who can be RELATIVELY effective with that against a smaller also very good fighter. Now in a p4p sense I think GGG is probably the superior fighter, but h2h I like the bigger guy, who by the way is a HOFer, not exactly a mug.

Groves is FAST, hits hard, he also has good movement in a bigger frame than GGG, he's not better, but these variances matter when breaking down the styles. It's not as simple as you try to make it.

It's the slingshot effect, GGG was overrated for years, now he's prob become underrated...deal with it

Id say the people that actually boxed for a living and know exactly whats going on in the ring because they have been there before. Not people that might have a favorite just like any other fan. And the people that sit there and are paid to score and know what to look for are the judges.

I just rewatched Ward vs Froch. GGG isn't as good of a boxer as Ward but he has an even better jab, and Froch was getting hit with Ward's jab all night. Froch is even slower than GGG and GGG ain't that fast.

If frotch though he could beat ggg he would have taken the fight. He had the judges and the homecourt advatage and it would have been a massive payday. Second ******s don't understand how styles make fight. Canelo is a defensive genius and shows up close to 180 lbs fight night. Frotch's defense is terrible and he is there to be hit by ggg and his footwork is garbage. GGG wins this.

If the fight had happened 3 or 4 years ago when people started mentioning it, what a fight it would have been. An absolute war reminiscent of the froch vs kessler fights but I would always back froch in that situation. GGG is not the fighter he was but he is still a very good fighter who I believe edged both Canelo fights, but that argument has been done to death. Froch on points.

A jab works really good if your longer than your opponent. It worked good for Ward because he is as long as Froch.

Froch does have that dynamite one long punch stopping power... I agree with you.

Not sure GGG does, he uses the jab more and it's his only real consistent punch at top level, doesn't mean it's better. Ward is a left handed orthodox fighter, and he throws it with more variety. GGG does have an excellent jab, great timing, powerful, but to dismiss Wards as inferior is probably slightly ignorant.
