This should be a gGG vs Abraham’s thread since they are more on par with each other in the talent ability and size dynamic. I’d even give GGG the mental and technical edge in that one.

What do you base that on? Froch was slow and easy to hit. He got by on his chin, heart and power. He was beaten easily by Ward and Kessler. Got a gift vs Dirrell, was getting outboxed by Taylor and Groves before he hurt them. Froch is extremely overrated.

This guy doesn't understand they're not jabbing standing stiff upright legs and torso are also a factor.

            Without PEDs Froch is nothing.

            Mediocre fighter.

GGG wanted to fight him but Froch did not.

I know that, and I don't see how Froch would avoid getting hit by GGG's jab.

Belongs in the fantasy section, Froch has been retired for years now.

In prime time for both Triple G beats him up, Froch is a club styled fighter with the worst jab I've ever seen from a so called top tier pro.
I think he was horrible to watch and his constant comments are also boring.

Just a terrible style and equally bad form.

The same way he avoided Abraham from reaching him, by moving
away from him and throwing his own jab. Alot longer than Golovkin's, Golovkin has to get close and try to land a power shot because he's not out jabbing him.

I'm not even really a GGG fan (I thought he lost to Canelo) but skillwise he is well above Froch. GGG would have been a bad style matchup for him.

He absolutely isn't and Taylor, Bute, Groves etc were all supposedly better boxers than Froch and look how they turned out.
All three are technically far superior to Jacobs and achieved more than he ever will in much deeper divisions.

Jacobs was outboxed by Pirog, Sulecki outboxed him for large parts also.
He's beaten nobody of any real note, he's 0-2 in big fights.
This is the thing all GGG fans have is Jacobs to cling to all the other opponents that were supposedly so good Murray, Lemieux even Stevens at one point have been thoroughly shown up for what they are.
Its hype and wishful thinking not reality.
Jacobs is a solid MW contender and nothing more, there's nothing special about him what so ever.

A bad style match up for Froch? Jacobs who hasn't a very good jab and a short armed 154lber had little problem pushing him back I can't for the life of me not see a much bigger, stronger and longer Froch who had an extremely busy hurtful jab he worked behind not pushing this small MW back.
He's not outworking Froch, he's not stopping him either. He's stepped up 3 times and has 0 stoppages vs a chinny Jacobs and a 154lber noway is carrying his power up and stopping an iron chinned SMW with great recuperative abilities like Froch.

Anyone can pick someone's resume apart genius.

Easily beat by Kessler?...must have missed that one, I did see a fight where it could have gone either way though, and a rematch he won conclusively. Same with Dirrel, either way fight, Dirrel tried to pick and kid his way through it, close fight. Yes...but he did hurt them didn't he?...That is what great champions do, find a way when you're up against it. Second Groves fight, Froch adjusted, had much more respect and boxed a lot better as a result. And he was nearly 38 years old.
