GGG easy, he's the technically superior fighter

I disagree, he is better but I can see Froch just using the same technique he used against Abraham. I used to think Golovkin would beat Froch until the Jacobs and Alvarez fights were he seemed hesitant and even confused at times.

This thread has been done at least a few times over the past 3 years and when GGG hype was at its highest it annoyed me how unrealistic everyone gets. It wasn't many of the respectable posters mind you.

Now people are seeing it for what it is. I've always liked Froch in this matchup, the size difference is significant, he is an absolute iron man, his jab doesn't look good, but it is, in fact that pretty much sums him up. Don't think GGG has the power/speed to take Froch out with a single or combination, and I think he would struggle at distance too because of the dimensions and GGG's own lack of speed. Everyone sleeps on Froch's power also, and I think GGG would struggle with those heavier punches, Froch wasnt lights out but he numbed a lot the guys he faced and halted their ambition.

I think it's a highly competitive fight, I like Froch by decision, possible late stoppage. GGG would definitely win some rounds in there, he's better and more versatile than an Abraham. I like Froch in a tough fight, possible both guys get hurt.

amazing how ggg is now some cannon fodder in these mythical match ups cause he lost a decision at 36 in a fight most thought he won. he'd have outboxed froch who lets face it had more than 1 or 2 of his own limitations. groves almost had him out of there

So was everyone, doesn't mean **** when it comes to Froch. The dudes intangibles are off the charts, the size difference is significant. I haven't seen anything from GGG that makes me sure about that match up, and certainly not easy.

you're completely right, Groves had Froch right where he wanted him.

Most press yea...most boxers and trainers have Alvarez winning. Who is more credible? Maybe you should think for yourself.

Always was one of the match-ups I most wanted to see of this decade. 50 / 50ish - GGGs more skilled IMO but Froch has always been indomitable and he's right, he is the bigger, stronger guy - always amazed me that he had such a physical presence in the ring when after rehydration he was basically fighting at the same weight as most MWs or even the most egregious rehydrators at JMW.

i'd say the press who are actually paid to sit there, focus and score it round by round.
