Nice try with what? Do you really think the WBC will order the fight before the end of the year? You are crazy. They may not even call the purse bid before the year. And this is Canelo. Good luck having any of his fight go to a purse bid.
So yeah, nice try in thinking the WBC will call for this fight ASAP and Charlo shouldn't fight in the meantime.Comment

Santa Cruz-Russell???? That fight ain’t happening...at least not in 2018.I'm seeing reports from a few other places of Jermall Charlo facing of against Willie Monroe Jr on November 17. And Julian Williams on the undercard vs Takeshi Inuoe in an IBF Eliminator.
But I just don't see Charlo-Monroe as a headlining fight (unless the card is in Houston.) This is probably where the Leo Santa-Cruz, Gary Russell Jr. match comes back into play.
Leo did say a few weeks ago that he's fighting in November.Comment

I've heard this to. Hope it's not true. Monroe does nothing for Charlo except give him a spectacular KOComment

The WBC isn't going to let David Lemieux prevent them from choosing the next defense of their middleweight championship, full stop.Nice try with what? If Canelo insists on fighting Lemieux over making his next defense against the WBC's challenger, he'll be stripped and that much is pretty straightforward.
Lol, you earnestly think that the WBC is going to give Alvarez an extra voluntary defense.Comment

You are out of your mind if you think the WBC strips Canelo for fighting Lemieux instead of Charlo in December. The WBC isn't going to let David Lemieux prevent them from choosing the next defense of their middleweight championship, full stop.
