Are Berto and Alexander really more interesting than Ramirez, Prograis or the winner of the 140 WBSS? I think Top Rank would have an easy time making Crawford-Ramirez, Crawford-Prograis, Crawford-Taylor (if he can win the WBSS). Sure, they are at 140 but they will be at 147 soon enough.Your uneducated, inexperienced, amateur analysis doesn't make any sense.
Wilder was willing to fight AJ on DAZN on 9/22. Hearn refused to allow it.
Haymon has the WBC champion, the IBF champion, the WBA champion and most of the top contenders at welterweight.
Arum has the WBO champion and that's about it.
Crawford is the one that chose to stay on the side of the street that has no interesting opponents, instead of crossing the street, where all of the interesting opponents are.
So while Spence, Porter, Thurman, Garcia, Ugas, Berto, Alexander, Broner, etc all fight each other for years to come, and Crawford fights nobody, you can't blame the Haymon side for Crawford not having opponents. He's the one that chose to sign again with the side of the street that had nobody for him to fight.
Are Ugas and Broner more interesting? Ugas has less of a name then those guys and Broner wouldn't be an interesting match really. He gets dominated by anyone elite.Comment

It made no sense for Crawford to sign and extension with Arum. I do not know what Arum says to these fighters, but they can never get out of his contracts.Comment

He's getting a minimum guarantee of $3m per fight and can fight as often as he likes. He'll be fighting three times a year barring injuries.
That's a great guarantee and like I said earlier it's not like the winner of the WBSS (probably Prograis or Taylor) won't be a star and great opponent or Ramirez if he keeps winning. Those will be easy to make.Comment
