Exactly. The story just tried to grab some headlines. A bandicoot rat gets up to four pounds; and it's meat is high in protein, low in fat and is lightly delicate.
Meanwhile, Americans consume pork and beef which are high in fat and lead to heart disease. Bandicoot **** are raised in pretty clean environments. But go to a pig farm, and you will see one pig eating feces directly from another pig's rectum. Doesn't even touch the ground.
Finally, Vietnam won the war and their solders survived on rice and rat meat.Comment

Also, private pig farmers (and there are a lot around here) often times will "fatten up" a pig by "double caging." They will put two pigs in cages, one above the other, and only feed the pig on top. The pig on the bottom with get bigger just by consuming the excrement of the pig above. Pigs don't digest food well and will often eat feces, particularly the feces from their babies.Comment

WBC super flyweight champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai may be the hardest puncher in today's well-entrenched boxing scene of Thailand, but his angst inside the ring melts when his favourite food becomes the topic.
