Hearn and AJ never made any guarantee to Ortiz ... but he would have been fighting AJ next if he hadn't jumped ship to Haymon then lost his WBA mando spot by failing a PED test and getting KO'd by Wilder.
keep telling yourself that..he was 'guaranteed it' after the klitschko fight but hearn decided against it of course..

A well executed Media campaign that has turned our golden boy Joshua into the Tin man of wizard of Oz

        You're just talking crap now.

Here's the facts: AJ was IBF champ and he had a mando due, against Pulev. He was given permission to delay it till after his fight with Wlad, which was for the IBF and vacant WBA titles.

AJ won the WBA title and inherited another mando, who was Ortiz.

AJ and had Wlad had a rematch clause in their contract, which the IBF gave permission for - provided AJ and Wlad both gave them a guarantee that the winner would fight Pulev next.

When Wlad retired instead of fighting the rematch, the WBA ordered AJ to fight Ortiz, which conflicted with the guarantee he had already given to the IBF that their mando would be next.

The IBF and WBA had a meeting to discuss the conflict, and both agreed that AJ should fight Pulev before Ortiz, because he had been mando for longer.

Pulev pulled out injured after the fight was signed, and Takam took his place. Then Ortiz decided to fight Wilder instead of waiting for his shot at AJ and lost his WBA mando spot after he failed a PED test, then got KO'd by Wilder after being cleared to fight.

        • basically hearn wants wilders next fight to be with one of his fighters so that it can be on DANZ and it can blow up in the US... this guy is childish as hell. move on and focus on AJ and your stable. Wilder will do whats best for his career, you failed to offer him a decent percentage and played him as if he was some low level bum, hes now turned down your offers. if hes this insignificant Alabama bum then leave him and us alone. aj sells 90k stadiums out in 5 mins im sure you have a lot to focus on outside of this bum wilder who nobody knows about

Only with that section of the US fan base who automatically side with their own countrymen over "outsiders" whatever the issue.

I haven't heard any UK fans and journalists talking about AJ ducking Wilder. The general consensus seems to be that they should both stop fannying around and get it on .. preferably over here.

Combined with the info from the WBC that there has been no communication with them regarding officially getting the fight made...

Hearn looks content to be sat on the fence letting Wilder and Fury make themselves less appealing.

I want both Wilder/AJ and Wilder/Fury to happen as much as Fury/AJ so it makes no difference to me what Hearn says. It just makes me wonder what he has to lie about in that video...

What does that have to do with my assessment of Hearn?
He is an arrogant fool who wants to believe he can
control or manipulate fighters who are not even signed to
Matchroom. Wilder did not lose 'the plot'. Hearn lost his co-star.
Now Hearn can only pair Joshua with his little
character actors like Chisora & Whyte.
