While that would be a great fight, I doubt very much Fury would want any part of that fight. He's looking to take "bigger" fights apparently.

Joyce would flatten him. Fury number 2 is shyte.

I have no doubt mini Fury will vacate saying he has bigger fish to fry as his excuse.

Joyce really should've gone with Hearn or Warren, despite their flaws he'd at least be active and a bigger part of the UK HW scene.

Ortiz would be a silly jump in class to make from the journeyman he had last time, but the whole statement is made meaningless by him saying 'maybe not the next fight though' at the end.
He's no spring chicken and he knows it. If he doesn't beat someone as highly ranked as Ortiz to get himself in a position to be a mandatory he will be out of time and his body won't be able to keep up. He's already quite slow and can't afford to have "old legs" in a title matchup.

Joyce is doing everything he can to get a big fight, it must be frustrating.

He's called out Jarred Miller, Ortiz and Chisora was offered 80000 to fight him a short while ago.

He's come into the professional game late so can't really afford to go the usual 20 fight slow build up.

He needs more financial backing to get the fights he wants, but will Haye back him properly?

I can't blame any of the top fighters for not wanting to fight him, the money isn't there, Joyce has got a growing but not large fan base and why risk losing to a 5 - 0 prospect unless you're going get paid well?

I haven't seen him in a tough fight yet to gauge where I think he's at level wise but he has dealt with the opponents he's had in a way that you'd expect a decent fighter to.

Id like him to get a big name sooner rather than later as I am interested in seeing just how good he is.

Apparently Usyk schooled him in the amateurs so I guess him moving up is bad for Joyce but I'd imagine amateur and professional fights are very different.

That is what I have tought all along. You want these big names you need to pay them. 80000 vs a novice or a PPV undercard slot against Takam in an important fight? If he wants Ortiz he better come up with 250000 at least. I think Ortiz got around 200000 for Cojanu...

A good promoter would've gotten the Chisora fight done. If Joyce had won that, he'd be in a better position to get fights against Ortiz level guys. He's 32 not 42, no spring chicken but can afford a year to fight Chisora types to build his popularity and get the experience.

When a no-name no-resume boxer (ie. Joyce) targets a guy with a bit of name and reputation (Miller, Ortiz), he can't call them out and then sit back and expect them to send him an offer to fight. The inexperienced prospect side needs to pay the top 5 opponent above the odds the make up for the lack of reward involved in beating someone who has proven 0 in the pro game. And since Haye is not going to overpay Ortiz or Miller, calling them out is pointless because those guys are not going to tell their manager/promoter 'I want that fight most of all, you gotta make it happen as a priority', Joyce is just another random fighter to them.

Ortiz-Joyce would be an undercard fight in the US like Ortiz-Romanian was, and the purses available would be about the same. Joyce gonna accept the same amount that guy did? Highly unlikely.

We can sit here and discuss which fighters JJ should be targetting but whoever he wants to fight, he would've had a better chance of getting them in the ring if he had Hearn/Warren backing him.

Joyce should fight somebody who is not begging for Joshua`s pay day right now. That excludes Ortiz.
