But the fact that Wilder is so desperate to squeeze every $ out of the first fight suggests he knows he's going to lose and is just trying to cash out his belt.
Fair is fair, and Wilder getting 40% is fair. Eddie Hearn has already stated that he sees the fight doing $40m-$45m in fighter proceeds, so if he's bent on Wilder getting a flat fee, a number near $18m would likely do it. And you can say to hell with that "rematch for Joshua" nonsense too.

Deontay Wilder would get 80% of the take on the Breazeale fight, between the guarantee and the back-end, and be cool with it, regardless of what the take end

He grasping at straws that contract was for the fight to happen in fall and be both guys next fight everything is different now

            Cool, bro.

Love how Wilder fans always fall back on the $50 million offer when they run out of excuses for why Wilder hasn’t signed
I love how Joshua fans always use "they didn't show proof of funds" as an excuse as to why AJ is a giant p*ssy and wasn't a man of his word

Here's a recent interview where AJ claims he was taken out of context, and that what he sad before and after would've put it into context, but he doesn't give a single example of how that is the case. He then says "Show me the general offer. With the money comes an offer".

Notice how he didn't say the money wasn't real, or that they didn't prove the money was real and that's why he didn't agree. Now AJ nuthuggers can stop using that excuse. The true reason is the fight would've been in the USA, and AJ is too scared to do that even with 50 mil.

I think AJ is the future of the division. Unfortunately they got a bigger offer from Wilder's side, then asked for their own terms and the match in the UK which Wilder finally agreed to, and then took the "mandatory" which could've been side stepped for a unification. Both sides are still just saying things because they're being asked questions. Everything that happened, happened right in front of everyone's eyes. We have all of the information. It's time to move on, let AJ have the one more fight to develop and Wilder in a stay busy fight, and then put them together in April.

Cúm guzzling Hearn sounds like a parakeet --- the offer, the offer, 15 million, blah blah blah blah. I swear if I see Hearn at a casino I'll have him licking my boots.

You really think wilder had $50 million? There’s a sucker born every minute on this message board.
