Comments Thread For: Hearn: If Deontay Wilder is Man of His Word - He'll Sign Contract!

Actually you and a few others also need to pipe down as well. Given that every third post of yours is "sign the contract".
Once you start getting selective as to what you accept as fact, slant and bias begins to creep in. For instance, Hearn acknowledged he received the email from Finkel regarding concern over being next and the fight date and venue. He claims he responded to that email affirming that Wilder was next. That's called a corroborated fact. Now to say he never received any comments on the contract would be a flat out lie. Maybe it's just a slight inconsistency in the elaborate plan both sides have laid out to build the fight. Maybe it's not. I just know what Hearn is saying today doesn't align with what he said 3+ weeks ago.Comment

Right. You only sign today if it's a sweetheart deal under both scenarios (AJ winning or losing).Comment

Absolutely no slant or bias to your posts whatsoever, Ake Dawg. You’re the height of impartiality.Actually you and a few others also need to pipe down as well. Given that every third post of yours is "sign the contract".

Chuck me a link to where Hearn says this, please, so I can verify.Comment

Says what? Be specific. Nevermind, just check the history here or on world boxing news. Vids are up on fighthype.Comment

The only reference I can see is to Finkel saying this.
Look, just forget it. As long as Wilder fans keep on saying that AJ is the one ducking, I’ll continue to say Wilder has a contract he can sign, if he wants.
Both sides are playing games here. That much is obvious.Comment

Being specific, who (Ortiz aside, as I said) would you rate higher than Chisora or Parker front Wilder’s resume?
I’d have bet on both to beat Stiverne fairly handily.Comment

hearn received those specific comments, and then responded back, as you said. so why would finkel say he would need an additional 5 days to respond back with those same known comments?Actually you and a few others also need to pipe down as well. he could have just signed the contract after that. thats the issue there.
regardless of all that, the fight is not happening this year. blame whoever you want. ultimately, there's a signed contract with wilder and his team that they also need to sign to make this fight. its literally that simple.
now, we can debate all day about the amount in the contract, which wilder agreed to. but i think all the stuff about 50 m dollars or about previous negotiations should fall to the side.Comment

Did Hearn send the revised contract to Finkel? And did Finkel say give me an additional five days or did he say "by Friday". That's the equivalent of saying no later than. Meaning after you get the revisions to me and I make sure nothing else changed, the signed contract will be in Hearns hands no later than Friday.hearn received those specific comments, and then responded back, as you said. so why would finkel say he would need an additional 5 days to respond back with those same known comments?

The interview with ESPN Finkel never mentioned sending comments to Hearn by that Friday. Just the contract. Hearn uses "comments" by Friday in his interviews.
Likely just inconsistencies in their joint ruse.Comment
