as usual, you're an idiot. andre ward's a first ballot hall of famer and has a fantastic resume. it's his right to retire, and it's also his right to pick and choose who he fights! until he gets another offer to head back to ppv he is going to stay retired.
i was at the first kovalev fight and i thought kovalev won, the majority of the audience did, but that fight was close and no robbery! and anybody who thinks it was a robbery has no business scoring a boxing match!
the second fight was decided by a series of low blows, and i did think that there were enough low blows to warrant points being taken, but ward had kovalev completely figured out and was beating him pillar to post. there was no question, with or without low blows, who was winning that fight.Comment

Lot of guys, including me, have been hit in the balls and didn't quit. You've probably been kicked in the clit and didn't quit either.
You are a tough hoe!
The ref called said those shots would be allowed in his pre fight talk because of the height of the trunks.
Well he did quit. We can debate why, but he absolutely quit.
that was a huge loss for dramashow for reasons beyond just boxing.
He did not quit by looking at the ref count to 10 like Arguello did.Comment

A lot of upset people in this thread. All in saying is ward could make a HUGE difference to his all time standing in just one fight if he beats the cruiser winner, which is a very easy fight to.make. It's very clear he's still keeping himself in shape in case a fight pops up and no-one can explain to me why he rung up buglioni. Basically wants a cheap easy payday. Can u imagine the uproar if ggg retired even now at 36? They'd say he's running now the divisions livened up, which is what ward has done. Kovalev is literally has only risky fight in like 6 years, and he 'has nothing left to prove' reallu? Mayweather stood on top of the sport for many many years.and took on the threats in his division, ward hasn't. Even his most hardcore fans must surely be disappointed at how his careers gone after winning super 6? One top win in 6 years really isn't amazing when u consider all the good fighters around him he could have fought. He never wanted anything to do with Stevenson.Comment

People who have common sense know that Ward doesn't want any of the up and coming top guys in the division. And while he may have hinted at it, he also knows he doesn't bring enough size or heat to compete @ HW. If he wants to stay undefeated, retirement is his best option. Each and every "comeback" fight will threaten that "0".Comment
