    wards 'retirement' is a sham....

he didnt 'fall out of love with the sport'. he knew the writing was on the wall, theres dangerous fighters in and around his division and he should have had a loss in the 1st kovalev fight and he cheated to win the 2nd fight. People whine about older fighters picking easier opponents, well at least they are still fighting and didnt retire when the division heated up.

a fighter who wants to retire doesnt get on the phone personally to frank buglioni to try and make a fight.

hes 'retired' so he can pick and choose a nice easy payday when it pops up. Thats all there is to it, i guarantee he will be back in the ring, probably against bellew.

And ward talks about a 'legacy play' in his latest interview, well why not fight the wbss winner? how much more of a legacy play can u get than beating the winner of the tournament? Youve fallen out of love with the sport so much that you cant just have one more fight to prove yourself as a great? its bull****....

Does Ward have anything else to prove in the sport?

you really shouldn't be celebrating or rubbing the way that fight ended in anybody's face. no unbiased observer thought that was a fair end to the fight.

this is a low blow ^

Lot of guys, including me, have been hit in the balls and didn't quit. You've probably been kicked in the clit and didn't quit either.

                  You are a tough hoe!

The ref called said those shots would be allowed in his pre fight talk because of the height of the trunks.

Well he did quit. We can debate why, but he absolutely quit.

as usual, you're an idiot. andre ward's a first ballot hall of famer and has a fantastic resume. it's his right to retire, and it's also his right to pick and choose who he fights! until he gets another offer to head back to ppv he is going to stay retired.

i was at the first kovalev fight and i thought kovalev won, the majority of the audience did, but that fight was close and no robbery! and anybody who thinks it was a robbery has no business scoring a boxing match!

the second fight was decided by a series of low blows, and i did think that there were enough low blows to warrant points being taken, but ward had kovalev completely figured out and was beating him pillar to post. there was no question, with or without low blows, who was winning that fight.
