Hearn is a great promoter. He knows stack the deck at home whenever possible and avoid a puncher whenever possible. So Pulev in Bulgaria or King Kong in England would both have violated the basics of being a great promoter (just as rushing AJ into a Wilder fight would violate the basic of being a great promoter).

Whyte vs. Parker in England is a great move because Parker isn't a massive puncher and as long as a guy isn't a massive puncher, you can usually stack the deck at home.

You say great promoter but you seem to be describing exactly the opposite of that from a fan perspective.

Sorry, if you are being sarcastic My sarcasm sensors are very old and don't work well.

Whyte was gonna get $375,00 with Epic promoting the fight

Now Whyte is on a PPV and his pay will depend on how well the PPV does. Probably not getting more than $300,000 guaranteed. Kell Brook was getting $200k headlining shows in the UK
Whyte will make 7 figures+ this fight according to himself and Hearn.

So that's at least 3x his potential for Poolev.

What the hardcore fan wants most is often very different from what will make the most money over time.

Yep this is true. And Hearn is unequivocally, unashamedly, undoubtedly ALL about the money. First things first, I don't blame them for wanting to get paid more. I would. But that's all it's really about. Money.

Forget the fans, forget the fighters, it's all for the dollar. It might seem like he's making good moves for fighters and for the fans but it is all totally motivated by lining his pockets...long or short term.

This fight sums it up. Dillian refused the Chisora fight on the basis of getting into mandatory, even though it would do huge numbers and be great for the fans. The Pulev fight would have guaranteed him IBF mandatory but instead they pull out to control the show and fight Parker on PPV in a fight that doesn't really do anything for his rankings. This is purely about Hearn controlling and making the money, disguised as a great fight for the fans and making more money for Dillian. Yes, Dillian will probably get paid more...but so will Hearn and that's why it's happening.

How is this fight on PPV anyway?! Parker has had two crap performances and Dillian just beat up a bouncer. Not sure how well this will sell on its own so expect Dillian to be chatting a lot of **** and a "stacked" undercard with serious "beef".

The Pulev fight was dead the moment it went to purse. But Matchroom probably strung them along for leverage in negotiations with for the Ortiz. Parker is a sound choice. Sky PPV and likely be made a WBO final elimator for 2nd mandatory (Povetkin being the 1st but that is on September). By Feb., there is unification so it doesn't matter whether Whyte goes IBF, WBC or WBO route. And in the UK, AJ v Whyte II is a monster.
