"Hearn then tried to say that Epic did not have the money to pay the 20% deposit, but when we proved them wrong again and they were staring at a contract to fight in Bulgaria, that’s when they panicked and Hearn talked his guy into pulling out instead of facing me."

Is anyone noting a trend here? Hearn seems to always make it seem that "the other guy" doesn't have money. He tried to make it seem that the $50 million wasn't really there either!

Maybe we can get Pulev vs Ortiz? That would be an interesting match up of the 2 angry heavyweights

But Hearn has shown that there's a reason why he's one of the best promoters on the planet he's a tricky SOB and simply bypassed the Pulev fight and set up a more competitive and lucrative fight with Parker on SKY PPV.

Pulev tried to play the A-side by holding out and winning the purse bid with Epic but he isn't the A-side and Hearn very quickly and brutally exposed that by shunning the Pulev fight. Fact is this is the 3rd eliminator for Pulev that's fallen through this year he needs to realise nobody is paying him 75% to fight him in Bulgaria. If he had simply agreed terms before the purse bid he would likely be making 400k plus fighting in the UK against Whyte, now he's getting nothing and again is left without an opponent.
Yep, Pulev massively overplayed his hand. Eddie said his own promoter even tried to persuade him to take the deal but he insisted on going to purse bid.

Pulev is a funny man. He pulls out of the AJ fight with a fake injury, but doesn't like it when the shoe is on the other foot. Thats exactly what he gets for pulling that ***** a year ago weeks before the fight. And if I was Eddie Hearn, I would have done the same thing to him hahahaahhaahhaha

Why would Pulev pull out of Joshua fight? The payday of his career and nobody would say anything, if Joshua beats him, that’s the most normal thing in the world. He was injured.

On the other side, Whyte is too good for him, but won’t fight him, because... The 75:25 split is good excuse, but these are the IBF rules. If Hearn has won the purse bid, there was no problem for Whyte to fight Pulev. But "the third best heavyweight in the world" (according to Hearn) is fighting Pulev only in London, not in Bulgaria.
