Pulev has every right to be angry about Whyte so overtly ducking him.

Whyte obviously didn't want to fight in Bulgaria. On Tuesday Hearn was talking they are in negotiations with Epic and two days later there's a contract with Parker. After that he said he doesn't trust Pulev. Yeah, ok. And if Pulev is such a knob and that's an easy fight, why won't he come to Bulgaria, beat him, become a mandatory and then fight whoever he wants for more money, while he's waiting Joshua?
And Pulev didn't say that Joshua fight is "terrifying", he said it's "terrific". That was the translator mistake in the pressconference.

Don't blame Pulev for being pissed, he though he got one over on Hearn and Whyte by not agreeing terms and forcing a purse bid where he would get 75% and then of course was envolved in the bid that won the purse bid, securing the fight would be in Bulgaria and not the UK.
But Hearn has shown that there's a reason why he's one of the best promoters on the planet he's a tricky SOB and simply bypassed the Pulev fight and set up a more competitive and lucrative fight with Parker on SKY PPV.
Pulev tried to play the A-side by holding out and winning the purse bid with Epic but he isn't the A-side and Hearn very quickly and brutally exposed that by shunning the Pulev fight. Fact is this is the 3rd eliminator for Pulev that's fallen through this year he needs to realise nobody is paying him 75% to fight him in Bulgaria. If he had simply agreed terms before the purse bid he would likely be making 400k plus fighting in the UK against Whyte, now he's getting nothing and again is left without an opponent.

The Parker fight will raise Whyte's profile and should make him a lot of money.

If Wilder with a 40-0 record ,a $50m offer and a title belt can't get one of Hearns fighters to fight abroad it's plain to see that the fight in Bulgaria and not in the uk. was going nowhere. Hearn has the monopoly in the UK. with Sky and will flick the casuals off with second rate PPV's for some time yet.
Whyte v Parker is a good fight but as a stand alone doesn't warrant PPV. ....let's see the card first.Last edited by thack; 06-08-2018, 03:55 AM.
