Forget the fans, forget the fighters, it's all for the dollar. It might seem like he's making good moves for fighters and for the fans but it is all totally motivated by lining his pockets...long or short term.

This fight sums it up. Dillian refused the Chisora fight on the basis of getting into mandatory, even though it would do huge numbers and be great for the fans. The Pulev fight would have guaranteed him IBF mandatory but instead they pull out to control the show and fight Parker on PPV in a fight that doesn't really do anything for his rankings. This is purely about Hearn controlling and making the money, disguised as a great fight for the fans and making more money for Dillian. Yes, Dillian will probably get paid more...but so will Hearn and that's why it's happening.

How is this fight on PPV anyway?! Parker has had two crap performances and Dillian just beat up a bouncer. Not sure how well this will sell on its own so expect Dillian to be chatting a lot of **** and a "stacked" undercard with serious "beef".
If Hearn is really all about the money...then why is he turning down $50 million and saying that it's not all about the money?

Because they want control of the show which means more money. The show in America he has no input to and only takes a commission. The show in England he has full control over, takes much more of the pot and has many other revenue streams.

Additionally, it's because they want all the advantages in this fight. Joshua is his cash cow and him losing in America devalues him significantly.

Yep, they run from that fight as fast as they could. Laughable that anyone tries to defend this shameless display of fear

Now Whyte is on a PPV and his pay will depend on how well the PPV does. Probably not getting more than $300,000 guaranteed. Kell Brook was getting $200k headlining shows in the UK

Is anyone noting a trend here? Hearn seems to always make it seem that "the other guy" doesn't have money. He tried to make it seem that the $50 million wasn't really there either!
I was about to point this out

Control of the show in the UK brings less money, though. Even Hearn admits this.

After that he said he doesn't trust Pulev. Yeah, ok. And if Pulev is such a knob and that's an easy fight, why won't he come to Bulgaria, beat him, become a mandatory and then fight whoever he wants for more money, while he's waiting Joshua?

And Pulev didn't say that Joshua fight is "terrifying", he said it's "terrific". That was the translator mistake in the pressconference.
I think you should be giving wilder this advice.

Hearn has the monopoly in the UK. with Sky and will flick the casuals off with second rate PPV's for some time yet.

Whyte v Parker is a good fight but as a stand alone doesn't warrant PPV. ....let's see the card first.
Don't tell us which fight is or not good for ppv. If you are not buying, allow others who are interested to buy.

Money for who? Overall purse, yes. But Hearn makes huge mark ups on the tickets through StubHub (illegally and off the record by the way), takes higher % for himself through Sky and PPV and lots of money through sponsorship.

It's not just the purse that he's thinking of. He's thinking of controlof the show, the tickets, the media etc etc.

He's also thinking of getting AJ every advantage so that his cash cow doesn't lose resulting in him losing a lot of money.
