I think 65/35 even a 60/40 split in favor of Canelo is decent but then again it's not my money to give away.... Lol
But Triple g asking for 50% is bullshet! Nobody is ever gonna get half the money in a fight against Canelo, no matter what the circumstances are.
So I think if he's firm on wanting 50% then Canelo should tell him to fucc off and go fight for 1-2 million.

After all the bull**** Canelo did to have the rematch cancelled, and Golovkin being the Champ with all the belts while Canelo is not even in the ratings anymore. 50/50 is totally fair.

50-50 for both is reasonable. Alvarado failed drug test and lost money for GGG and lost renevue to promoters,ppv, commissions,hotels, vendors etc...the list goes on and on. Thats alot of lost moolah for one failed drug test on his part!!

I'm more or less in agreement with you. I was looking forward to the GGG/Canelo rematch, but as a GGG fan and a BJS fan, I would much rather see them fight each other for all 4 MW belts.

The Murata fight is also very interesting. From what I've heard about Murata, and from what I know about the way those Jap fans support their heroes with almost fanatical intensity, I think it would be a very exciting event that would bring in the money. Golovkin also has a lot of fans in Asia, btw.

I also don't want to see GGG lose his IBF belt, so if not Saunders, then Derevyanchenko should be his next opponent. I don't know how good Dervy is, but he's aggressive and powerful, so that would be an exciting fight that could make quite a lot of money, with time to promote it properly. Certainly a lot more than it would have made if they'd fought this month.

I'm surprised at GGG increasing his financial demand from Canelo all the way up to a 50/50 split, and equally surprised that Oscar seems to think he should be happy with the terms they agreed for May ... as if Canelo testing positive and getting banned had never even happened!

It's possible they could both be playing a long game, knowing that if they keep the **** talk going for another 6 months, or maybe another year, it will be an even more lucrative fight than it would be this Sept.

Is it possible that Saunders could go straight to a GGG fight? Is he contractually obligated to fighting Murray next? If so, I think Murata is much bigger than Dervy!

Certainly the people saying he "Deserves 50/50" are letting their **** riding get in the way of basic supply and demand.

GGG should get 30% and thank the his lucky stars or go back to making $1 million on HBO. If Floyd or Pacquiao were fighting GGG they would give him a $5 million flat fee and a % of the ppv, now all of a sudden all the B-sides want 40-50%.

GBP needs to lower the offer to 30%, they will come back begging for that 35%, if not for September certainly for May.

You literally have zero boxing iq . GGG is a star, the 3rd biggest draw in boxing right now and also has endorsements that make him more money than any fighter through endorsements at this current stage.

He was convinced that Loeffler was going to make a serious effort at making a GGG-Hopkins fight, simply because Loeffler was being "polite" when he said Hops would be a great challenge, or something to that effect. Its been awhile so I dont remember the word-for-word exchange

Nobody with more than 3 active brain cells thought that GGG-Hops was a realistic fight to be made. So we bet $100, but I didnt need or want his money, so the terms were that the loser makes a $100 donation to the charity of the winners choice. I figured there was less of a chance he would welch on the bet if it was for a charity. My mistake lol
