Joshua needs to finish him early, Wilder is always dangerous, just needs to land once and you know he will go 100% for the finish.

I wish they would make this fight soon, I get butterfly's just thinking about it.
ya man...havent been this excited about a HW fight in forever

I wasn't impressed by Wilder's performance and I was disgusted by the bogus extra recovery time he got after he was badly hurt. I was also not impressed by AJ's somewhat passive ud win over Parker. He never hurt Parker at all that I could notice. I think they are both very beatable but heavyweights are not that strong now. I think Wilder is 33 years old. That's not a young champion. Wilder showed some toughness and heart in the Ortiz fight. Wilder has fast hands and a long strong jab. He also has one punch KO power and he keeps that power into the late rounds. He is a threat to beat AJ as much as you would like to believe he isn't. Ortiz was a top contender so quit trying to turn him into a bum.

i think overall your assesment is pretty fair

but why werent you impressed by wilders performance? i mean...it wasnt much different than most of his other performances.....he drops rounds and then knocks guys out....its kind of his "thing"....plus ortiz is, like you said, a top contender and also a lefty .....i believe ortiz is still very solid and and at worst a top 4 guy in his division

i wont argue about the extra time thing..personally i dont think it was really an issue...i think wilder was fine....dont think it helped...if anything it gave ortiz, who had punched himself out trying to get wilder out of there, time to rest too....but i wont argue it...i can see how it wouldnt sit well with people

Whyte has yet to batter Ortiz or even beat him. Some Englishmen have an annoying habit of boasting about things that have not yet happened. No excuses are needed for something that may never happen. You might need some excuses for Whyte if Ortiz knocks him out.

Wilder is a strange blend of weaknesses and strengths. I guess it was a good performance for Wilder the way he came back from being badly hurt to win by devastating KO. What was not so good was that Ortiz damn near knocked him out. I think Wilder would have won even without the extra recovery time but that still should not have happened. I guess I don't think either Wilder or AJ are really outstanding heavyweight champions but so far they are undefeated with great KO records so maybe they are better than I think.

alot of people seemed to want to heap praise on AJ when he got up and beat klit.....wilder still never left his feet....

i can agree that neither are outstanding really....but i think AJ is more orthodox which makes his "not outstanding" stand out more if you get what im saying?

It's obvious you never stepped foot in the ring buddy . Both guys showed amazing chins and variety of combination punching for HW . This was a top ten HW fight in the last ten years easily . It's also obvious your a AJ fan if you didn't like this fight .

I enjoyed the fight but didn't look that high a level for me. Ortiz looked painfully slow and wilder very sloppy as usual. Everything in the Parker Joshua fight was crisper and quicker
