Yeah. Just imagine if Golovkin was the one who got punished like that and almost got dropped. There'll be fiestas everyday in this place, "Lil G got exposed, doe!"

I give Wilder props for Ortiz due to the amateur pedigree and experience Ortiz brings. He is leaps and bounds above the others. Fundamentally from a boxing perspective him and probably Povetkin are the highest rated to me in that regard. Of course it's heavyweight so that stuff isn't necessary or even particularly in demand, you need to be able to ****. Wilder showed he can fight to a game plan, he survived even when his plan was not enough and then he finished it. I would also say some people weren't really seeing everything that was happening, Wilder actually controlled him quite well for how experienced Ortiz is in comparison, Wilder constantly had Ortiz thinking he was leading then fumbling himself as he stepped and hit rope. Before the fight I saw him as just a puncher, but that showed there's some boxer in him somewhere. Not that I would call it an impressive performance for a world champion though, but really he is still very green.

That counter right hand Wilder threw from off the ropes to hurt Ortiz was impressive. Ortiz thought he had the advantage pushing Wilder to the ropes and it completely backfired.
