Also, Wilder has said he will fight Whyte next, if its in the deal that AJ is next. As soon as he said that, Hearn started talking about AJ-Whyte II.

The WBC isn't making Whyte mandatory. They know that Hearn will not allow him to face Ortiz. It is calling chicken**** AJ and Hearn out. If Whyte is good enough for a title shot, then let him prove it.

Because, guess what, even if Whyte did somehow become Wilder's mandatory, Wilder would get a split of the purse, not a set amount. We know Eddie won't let Wilder have any percentage against his fighters. In fact, Hearn might use that as an excuse.
Ok so let's lay some facts to be clear.

    1) Joshua has said numerous times he wants Wilder next. Hearn has too for the record. Wilder has also said similar things to the press.
    2) Joshua made an offer (via Hearn) which was six times Wilders best pay day. He didn't get any response despite the leaked details in the press and promise for a counter offer.
    3) Hearn had to push for a meeting in person which I understand is happening this week (Thursday from memory?)
    4) Wilder has offered to fight whyte if Joshua was in contract , but also only ever stipulated he would take a Joshua fight at 50/50 over two fights . In affect saying he will fight whyte if that deal is in the contract which no different to the deal he has offered to fight Joshua (in the press) now.
    5) Hearn/Whyte offered Wilder a fight 2-3 times his best pay but was declined by Wilder.

The above are all facts. No opinions in there for your reference.

Just like every time Manny lost he somehow ended up fighting for title. He lost to Horn but gets a title shot against Mathysse. Or how Cotto coming off a loss got a title shot at a vacant title.

The No1 rated Whyte beat Chisora in a WBC eliminator in 2016 and has since fought and beat the WBC ranked Helenius and Lucas Browne.
Luis Ortiz gets Kod in a voluntary defence by Wilder 7 weeks ago yet now supposedly is entitled to a final eliminator against the No1 ranked Whyte without even winning a comeback fight never mind an eliminator this whole thing stinks of corruption.

Decent fight that I can see Whyte winning. Ortiz is good but Whyte is improving.

Good match up. Whyte wants another title shot bad, he’ll get the points win over Ortiz.

This move makes the WBC belt pure trash. I hope whyte goes another route and the wbc collects peanuts in fees from bumsquad vs ortiz 2 and 3 and 4 if they like.

It is not that Ortiz is the top... he is just the top available.

                  Wilder is the champ.

White is the number 1 spot.
Breazele is in the second spot and likely is fighting Wilder next anyway.
Next down the list is Povetkin who is already WBA/WBO mandatory for AJ and has ZERO reason to drop those to fight an eliminator to fight Wilder.
Therefore... the next on the list is Ortiz again...

Hearn has arranged a meeting with Finkel and Haymon to negotiate terms for the fight tomorrow.

                    Get your excuses ready boys!

WBC makes it up as they go along....whyte is mandatory , ortiz just lost his last shot and he was the mandatory and now he is set to face whyte to regain his mandatory.
Is that right and is that legal ? Sounds proper fishy to me
