Before Wilder beat Ortiz, Ortiz would've stopped AJ. He probably still beats him. Depends on how he reacts to the loss, coupled with his age. We will see ...

I was kind of thinking the same thing. His name is all over the place.

I want this to happen, but for reasons different than most. I want to see what Ortiz has left against a real opponent. He looked real good against Wilder. Even recovered nicely from that knock down in round 5. Wilder just kept him working hard until Oritz gassed, then ended it. But Ortiz showed some grit and skills. I really want to see him in another top level fight.

Whyte is among the best of the second tier of HW behind Joshua and Wilder. Pulev, Povetkin, Ortiz and Whyte are all legit challengers and throw any of them in a bag and pull out two names it is a fun fight. I do not think Ortiz/Whyte happens. But it checks some interesting boxes if it does.

Wilder is trying to fight AJ. Who would the WBC be protecting him from? He already fought the bogeyman Ortiz, when no one else would fight him. LOL, y'all need to stop hating on Wilder ... hahaha

Anyway, lots of good fights are lining up. Get Big Baby and hopefully Tyson Fury in the mix ... Whyte, Brazeale, Parker, a couple of the young upstarts ... this could get good.

The WBC isn't making Whyte mandatory. They know that Hearn will not allow him to face Ortiz. It is calling chicken**** AJ and Hearn out. If Whyte is good enough for a title shot, then let him prove it.

Because, guess what, even if Whyte did somehow become Wilder's mandatory, Wilder would get a split of the purse, not a set amount. We know Eddie won't let Wilder have any percentage against his fighters. In fact, Hearn might use that as an excuse.

Wilder is not in any position to give conditions not when it concerns a champion with 4 belts.
He must be insane for making such request.

              1) Joshua has said numerous times he wants Wilder next. Hearn has too for the record. Wilder has also said similar things to the press.
              2) Joshua made an offer (via Hearn) which was six times Wilders best pay day. He didn't get any response despite the leaked details in the press and promise for a counter offer.
              3) Hearn had to push for a meeting in person which I understand is happening this week (Thursday from memory?)
              4) Wilder has offered to fight whyte if Joshua was in contract , but also only ever stipulated he would take a Joshua fight at 50/50 over two fights . In affect saying he will fight whyte if that deal is in the contract which no different to the deal he has offered to fight Joshua (in the press) now.
              5) Hearn/Whyte offered Wilder a fight 2-3 times his best pay but was declined by Wilder.

The above are all facts. No opinions in there for your reference.
              You have said it all.

WBC is the worst of them all... Full of corruption. You have said it all. Ortiz at the back of a KOd, in the mix of a final eliminator, that's crazy.
Which means Parker should be in the mix too for final eliminator.
IBO has the best and most genuine ranking amongst them all. My opinion.

                • Wilder probably thinks about taking that money (to blast Whyte) sometimes.. But he's right to take a Champion's position: no other boxer has had to fight Whyte before Joshua, why should the other legit champ?

Parker didn't have to fight Whyte first .... Klitscko was no longer a champ, and he didn't; Brezeale didn't fight Whyte; but surely Takam did right? Umm, well, no, he didn't either; Pulev didn't, until he hurt himself and jumped outta the rotation (now he may fight Whyte)

Whatever Joshua's rational is, there is no logical reason to press Wilder about fighting anyone "first", that's a ***** move, a duck, whatever you wanna call it. Their fight is big enough now,

It's also Joshua trying psychological BS on Wilder, "I can force you to jump thru hoops". It's funny, silly stuff really. I understand Joshua going there, every edge you can get helps. He can make Wilder wait, but AJ's manhood takes a beating by doing that. And Wilder is a champ and a warrior, he ain't having it. Good for him!

PS - Wilder will sooner or later get around to bashing Whyte in the head. (I think it will be a good fight though)

The fight definitely isn’t as big as it can be. Aj’s numbers on showtime will back that statement up. For the money wilder wants Hearn would prefer him to fight whyte first over here to raise his profile because the majority of people over here only know him because he talks about aj so much. and for aj to fight Miller in Brooklyn to raise his profile in the states. If wilder doesn’t want to do that ok fine I get why he wouldn’t want to then accept the 12.5 million (10 million more than he’s ever made) for his chance to make history.

I wouldn’t say aj’s manhood takes a beating by any means. He’s achieved more in boxing than wilder despite him taking up the sport the year wilder turned pro. It’s not like he’s fighting the likes of duhappas and spilkza, if he doesn’t fight wilder next it will be Povetkin, one of the best heavyweights in the world today.

                    • This fight will show whether Whyte belongs amongst the elite in the division. I'd respect Whyte if he took this fight. Whyte has a chance at glory. Get the win and out do Wilder and get a shot at Wilder. Whyte will fight Wilder while Anthony hides behind Edward.
