Because AJ is too chicken**** to fight Wilder. He won't even sit down to negotiate, for crying out loud.

Also, Wilder has said he will fight Whyte next, if its in the deal that AJ is next. As soon as he said that, Hearn started talking about AJ-Whyte II.

The WBC isn't making Whyte mandatory. They know that Hearn will not allow him to face Ortiz. It is calling chicken**** AJ and Hearn out. If Whyte is good enough for a title shot, then let him prove it.

Because, guess what, even if Whyte did somehow become Wilder's mandatory, Wilder would get a split of the purse, not a set amount. We know Eddie won't let Wilder have any percentage against his fighters. In fact, Hearn might use that as an excuse.

That’s why the wbc ordered Whyte/Ortiz as final eliminator for mando spot...

This is.. regardless of who you support, like or dont like.. i really dont wana see wilder vs ortiz again and it wont help his image in the long run when it comes to wilder.

Fighting two guys twice in winning the belt and since.. it kinda shows the lack of depth in the HW right now.
Stylistically, Pulev is a tougher opponent than Ortiz for Dillian Whyte.

Ortiz is a better boxer than Dillian, but Whyte is just as strong, if not stronger, has much better stamina, more determination, and a good chin. He would wear Ortiz down, gas him out and stop him, imo.

I think Ortiz has enough in the tank, but I don't expect Hearn to let this fight happen actually.

Am hearing Whyte preferred this fight and petition for this eliminator. He seems he really want that shot at the WBC belt.

It's a decent fight but not sure why Ortiz is anywhere near a final eliminator having just had a shot and been stopped.

That's the sort of thing you come to expect from the WBC though...

I can see it happening, Hearn putting the money up to get Whyte headlining against Ortiz in London. They might see him as potentially damaged goods, an old man coming off a KO loss.

He was .. but for the WBA title, not the WBC.

Ortiz was AJ's mando, but he lost that position after failing a PED test for his fight with Wilder. Confusing innit!

The last WBC heavyweight mando was Bermaine Stiverne!

I'm thinking Whyte would prefer Ortiz over Parker and Parker over Pulev. Seems like everyday Whyte has a new summer opponent.
