The WBC isn't making Whyte mandatory. They know that Hearn will not allow him to face Ortiz. It is calling chicken**** AJ and Hearn out. If Whyte is good enough for a title shot, then let him prove it.
Because, guess what, even if Whyte did somehow become Wilder's mandatory, Wilder would get a split of the purse, not a set amount. We know Eddie won't let Wilder have any percentage against his fighters. In fact, Hearn might use that as an excuse.
