This is lame. Wilder is not (so far) giving up any psychological edge to Joshua for their fight, whether it's more money than he has made before or not. He's not gonna be told by AJ & Hearn who he will fight, etc. etc. I say good for him! Boxing legacy and history is about more than the dollars on the table. They're offering money for alternatives that they are trying to dictate. Wilder ain't having it!!
Good for him! Man up, make a deal, and fight! That's Wilder's message to AJ & Hearn. Period!

Radio Raheem's face when interviewing Edward was priceless. Everyone saw the cowardice in Edward the promoter.

WBC bull****, Whyte is already ranked number 1 so how can this be an elimination fight. Anyway Ortiz wins this fight if he isn't mentally danmaged for losing his first fight by knockout. Sometimes when a knockout fighter gets knocked out, he loses his sense of invincibility

Wilder has been a champion for more than 3 years and fat washed-up Stiverne is the only mandatory he's fought... The WBC belt has become a joke. They should rename it to Haymon's belt, which in reality it has been since Vitali vacated it.

Look, you said something ridiculous like Americans tend to do, then tried to explain it away by saying something equally as dumb. So think about what you write in future otherwise you end up looking very silly.
Why would the top guy in the division be ducking C grade, domestic level, Whyte ?
You might as well say AJ is ducking Charles Martin rematch.

Win win situation for Whyte. If he beats ortiz, he gets Wilder; if he loses, well, Joshua is still here for him.

Even if Whyte beats Ortiz he would still have to wait a year from the Breazeale fight before the WBC will mandate it..... If I was Whyte I'd go down the IBF route, which will be enforced at the end of this year, for the chance of a bigger money fight with Joshua.
Clever move from Haymon here, he knew if Whyte was mandated he would lose the purse bid and be forced to travel, that's the reason Wilder doesn't want to fight IMO, it only makes sense in the U.K and Wilder won't travel unless forced or severely overpaid.

1) Joshua has said numerous times he wants Wilder next. Hearn has too for the record. Wilder has also said similar things to the press.
2) Joshua made an offer (via Hearn) which was six times Wilders best pay day. He didn't get any response despite the leaked details in the press and promise for a counter offer.
3) Hearn had to push for a meeting in person which I understand is happening this week (Thursday from memory?)
4) Wilder has offered to fight whyte if Joshua was in contract , but also only ever stipulated he would take a Joshua fight at 50/50 over two fights . In affect saying he will fight whyte if that deal is in the contract which no different to the deal he has offered to fight Joshua (in the press) now.
5) Hearn/Whyte offered Wilder a fight 2-3 times his best pay but was declined by Wilder.
The above are all facts. No opinions in there for your reference.
