Wilder must not turn back now. He said before now that he would take 60-40 so here it is. And if his team thinks it's a 100mil fight, indeed they should offer $50mil. It's clear. Anything more than this means that Wilder is not ready for the fight.

If this truly is a 100 mil fight Haymon and Showtime would get the money. We all know it isn't. Reporters and Wilder fans just claiming it is to try and make Joshua's offer look bad.

Why give a flat fee in such a fight? AJ should give Wilder a % split like any sensible person would do IF he truly wants the fight.
Again, read the last 2 paragraphs, he doesn't seem interested in taking that belt from Wilder. Talking about there are other serious fighters blah blah. I don't understand this dude. Is it cuz he thinks he can't win? I bet if it was some weaklin, he would have jumped on it already offering % splits and all.
People crying about Finkel not responding to the $12.5m offer didn't read this article cuz it is clearly written that Finkel who works with Wilder is preparing a counter offer.
Enough with this flat fee, no one knows how much this fight will make. Go to % split like it has always been done IF, BIG IF AJ really wants this fight.

If Wilder truly wants the fight then ask for the same deal as Parker. Joshua/Hearn can't refuse it would look extremely bad.

Turned down 12.5m, like he can make more or around this amount fighting someone else...
should of accept it, fight win or lose, champs fight champs...then you can demand more $.
but what can you expect from the legend since he fights 40-45 y.old "champs", such as Liyakhovich,Manswell, Molina and rest of his resume. Deontay shows his true face of boxing

Its plain and simple if this fight can generate $100m like a lot of these accountants claimed then its pretty much sorted out here. If this is indeed true from AJ then make him the 50% offer from that amount, All Wilder accountants need now is to come up with that sum, am sure Vegas would put that money up.
Wilder is not as popular as he thinks he is but surely he has to be as popular as Parker, worse case.

I've worked hard to get to this position. I've overpaid guys again and again. Now I'm offering this guy a chance I never got. A chance to make history with one fight. A chance to become undisputed despite a career of cherry picking. A chance to be part of boxing history and hold 5 belts and go on to make massive earnings from them if successful.
I'm offering him this but he also wants to take a big slice of the money I generate. No, he can **** right off with that. I'll offer him more money than he's ever been paid before but I'm not going to reward him for talking trash about me or for sitting on that WBC belt fighting guys Haymon found in the back of a dumpster for 3 years.
I know that's what I'd be thinking if I were the 4 belt holding unified heavyweight champion of the world and Wilder was talking that rubbish about me anyway .

As sick a Floyd fan as I am, I hated it when he offers Pacquaio a flat $40m. It makes no sense.
If Wilder says give me the 30% you gave Parker, AJ and Hearn would lower it and claim all kinds of things from Parker's belt, his country, his UK fanbase.... Reasons why Wilder should get a lower slice or flat fee.
If Wilder wants 40%, he has to start negotiations at 50%, if he wants 30%, he starts at 40% but team AJ has zero interest in negotiating this fight. Wilder said "give me 50%" AJ said "take $12.5m flat fee - take it or leave it" who sounds more crazy?
