Not hurting it for me. These unpopular divisions(jr middleweight, super middleweight, cruiserweight) usually has the top contenders facing off. That's why I watch them. Look at the cluster **** happening at welterweight. It's time to strip Thurman.

Slick fighters aren't suppose to look and miss soo much.

And are you like others that completely ignore body work??? Any real boxer will tell you those are the WORSE!! I bet Lara pissed blood after that fight.
I scored it 115-113 for Lara...Canelo did indeed hurt him with Body shots, but he wasnt landing consistently enough for me to give him 7 rounds in the fight.

If fighters have a problem with him and his style, then all they have to do is beat him. If they cannot, tough ****.

And I'm the opposite. I couldn't give Lara 7 rounds??? I went with the one who controlled the ring. Pednelo I dont even think went back on step??? While Lara clearly was giving up his ring space everytime. Pednelo controlled the ring and landed more telling shots. A slick fighters should not look that sloppy against a plodder.

I don't have a problem with Lara and I don't have a problem with the article. The Gosha fight was boring but so is Gosha. You put two boring fighters in the ring and you get an incredibly boring fight. Other than that fight, the Molina and Smith fights were the other two that stood out as boring. Again, incredibly boring fighters. If tonight's fight turn out to be boring that's a sure victory for Lara.

One of the worst "boxing" articles I've read this year.

I knew from the title that it was written by him

Lara’s the man at 154 and if boxing was a fair sport he’d be undefeated.

He’s a winner and in sports that’s all that matters l. Were the SAN Antonio Spurs bad for basketball when they were winning their championships? . Were the New Jersey devils bad for hockey when they kept winning Stanley cups ? No they weren’t.

The point of sports is to win , anything extra like entertainment is extra.

Hale claims Lara doesn’t bring in new fans so what 95% of boxers don’t increase the sports profile even if they are exciting or have a personality

He said the fighters he lost too weren’t interested in a rematch yeah no sh.it because the fighters and their team know they lost and a rematch would probably be the same even if they got a undeserved decision

He also said Lara wouldn’t face Charlo when Lara already stated he would if he wins.

Lara holds the crown until someone can take it and being a long reigning champion isn’t bad for the sport no matter how much people don’t like his style
The thing is, entertaining does matter. Whether in the ring or outside of it, a fighter has to give people something that will excite them.

Lara does not do that in the slightest, he's terrible for the sport in general.

Hopefully the deck was stacked against him in this fight with a small ring, a ref that lets fighters get rough on the inside, and judges that appreciate a come forward fighter because Lara has been ruining cards long enough and its time for him to go.

So far Rigo, Barthelemy and Ortiz have tasted defeat-lets hope this Cuban losing train hits the Lara station tonight
