Originally posted by MC Hammer View PostThe thing is, entertaining does matter. Whether in the ring or outside of it, a fighter has to give people something that will excite them.
Lara does not do that in the slightest, he's terrible for the sport in general.
Hopefully the deck was stacked against him in this fight with a small ring, a ref that lets fighters get rough on the inside, and judges that appreciate a come forward fighter because Lara has been ruining cards long enough and its time for him to go.
So far Rigo, Barthelemy and Ortiz have tasted defeat-lets hope this Cuban losing train hits the Lara station tonight
But from a guy who names himself after MC Hammer a rapper who had No substance and who’s music is completely written off today as sh.it holds no everlasting quality and who’s looked upon as a joke I’m not suprised
Your whole post is sh.it just like the article and just like the rapper you named yourself after
A fighters job is to win. An athletes job is to win. You want to be entertained cool go to a movie but that’s not what a athletes primary focus should be .
When you look back at athletes career why do winners get brought up.
do you think people still bring up Bill Russell or Tim Duncan as ATGs because they were entertaining ? You think people rate Jordan and Kobe because they won dunk competitions. Why isn’t Vince Carter or Harold Miner mentioned among those 2.
Who do people rate higher Ovechkin or Crosby ? Winning is what matters
Yeah Lara is bad for the sport a fighter who’s been at the top of his division for years , shown he’s willing to fight anyone with any style in their prime, been in fights where the deck was stacked against him and never complained , always made weight . Never priced himself out
I think fans like you are bad for the sport. Fans who openly root for there to be a un-level playing field because you don’t like a fighter and want them to lose. Fans who place excitement above winning
F.ucking herb your post was almost as bad as that dogs.hit article by Andreas Hale

Also, his contribution to rap was making it a mainstream genre in which a lot of poor brothers would become rich from. And how did he do this; by entertaining people.
Sports are designed to be a form of entertainment. Would you watch people stack rocks, and whoever gets the highest pile wins? No, because that's not entertainment. People don't watch a sport just to see one person do better than the other.
And how the hell can a fan, who pays for fights and supports the sport, be bad for it, and a guy like Lara, a guy who when he fights viewership for the entire card drops, be good for it?
Honestly, I hate seeing him fight and believe that he should be on the untelevised portion of cards, belt or no belt. When he loses tonight he should go to obscurity because no one wants to see that garbage that he performs on television.

Hammer got brought up because that’s who you named yourself after ,a sucker that made sh.it music that didn’t stand the test of time and today is considered a joke and from your last post it seems you fall into that same category and probably a hammer fan
Why isn’t his name brought up when people talk about classic hip-hop that people still listen to today , because he was a novelty like Kriss-Kross , Marky Mark and any other Wack rapper just trying to make a buck instead of making quality music
Sports is a form of entertainment to see who is the best not who dunks the best or can hit the longest HR. If it wasn’t about winning the And1 basketball league would replace the NBA
I actually watch sports to see who the best is whether that’s boxing the Olympic , NBA,NFL , NHL or people stacking rocks I like watching people compete that to me is the entertainment
A fan that roots for a un level playing field or places entertainment over winning is bad for the sport I don’t care if you pay $ for it or not. That’s a loser mentality
The purpose of sports is to see who is the best on a level playing field. If your ok with fighters or teams having unfair advantages that’s a loser mentality

He could be considered top because he wins on completely level field, and I'd never have to see a card ruined by a coma inducing Lara performance
