Comments Thread For: Crawford: No Reason Why Spence, Thurman Fights Can't Happen!

Terence Crawford (32-0, 23 KOs) is only a few months away from making his welterweight debut. As the mandatory challenger, Crawford will challenger WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The contest was initially scheduled to take place on April 14th at T-Mobile Arena - but Crawford withdrew with a mild injury to his hand.

First things first: Mr. Crawford, please never wear that shirt in that stock photo ever, EVER again. Respectfully: The entire sighted population.

Now then- Preach on, oh wardrobe challenged great one, the Choir is listening!! Too often in the history of this sport, promoters, worthless belt commissions, and more recently networks have felt like they get to pick what happens when a fighter signs on the dotted line. Fighters are the ones who train for 5 months. Fighters are the ones who sacrifice family time. They are the ones with the other guy looking to hurt them. They are the money makers and the way these promoters and worthless belt commissions can afford to buy their kids the GI Joe's with the Kung-Fu grips. Fighters are Alpha males. They need to dictate what happens with their careers as such. Crawford could have earned decent money dominating the 140 division and getting some nice fights from 135 pound guys moving up to fight him. He came to 147 for these top guys. He wants these fights. His support group needs to respect that, do their jobs, and make the fights networks/other promoters/worthless alphabet groups be ignored.

in EVERY fighter/promoter relationship, the fighter has the last say

before Pacquiao/Arum, I had never heard anyone suggest otherwise

this whole...... " talk to my promoter " angle..... is utter rubbish

a guy who insists that you should talk to his promoter, is hiding behind his promoter

        even with Arum

Bradley proved it, and Crawford himself proved it in this very article

every fighter EVER, is 100% responsible/accountable for his resume'

lol...love broke dudes commenting on others peoples clothes...other people that make real money and probably have a stylist

reminds me of that Kenny powers line ..."i know one of us has had their own personal stylist....and the other one shoplifts their **** from Fashion Bug...that's what I know"

some people are so plain and boring that they cant pull looks/styles off without looking completely out of place and foolish....landotter sounds like one of those guys

Good work Bud, put pressure on The BobFather!

After you mop up the dirty hornet with a fly swatter then Thurman can get it next since he holding them belts hostage waiting for Spence to move up!

              Maybe...maybe not.

Personally if I was Bud I wouldn't have much confidence in it with Arum's dedication to in house fights over big cross promotional fights doe.

Maybe this ESPN & now ESPN+ situation will get Arum out of his comfort zone. Idk that I'd bet on it, but perhaps it does.

That shirt is pretty dope, I wear those kind of shirts all the time even when I just get groceries.

If you wanna see a bad dresser, see Floyd.
