NSAC, who are holding the enquiry into Canelo's positive test, amended their rules in 2016. I read them last night.

The NSAC rules now say that an athlete who tests positive will no longer be given a pass because of accidental use unless he can prove that the ingredients in the product he used were incorrectly listed, or he can give a reasonable argument that he had no way of knowing he was at risk.

Canelo can't say he had no way of knowing that eating Mexican beef put him at risk, because the risk was known to everybody.

If NSAC apply their rules impartially, the fight will be off and Canelo will be suspended.

And per NSAC regulations, those first time offender with Clen in their system will be punished with 1-year suspension. Might be reduced to 6-months suspension depending on the arguments of the offender. It's clear 6-months suspension minimum.
