''The first positive sample, collected Feb. 17, was 10 times greater than the second sample taken Feb. 20. Both levels were described as "low" by one expert.''

Enough to detected on a doping test for steroids. Literature states that the detection time of clenbuterol is 4-6 days. To be safe, I would stop the clenbuterol at least 7 days prior to your drug test. To answer your question Clen has a half life of 36-48 hours.Dec 27, 2016Comment

NSAC, who are holding the enquiry into Canelo's positive test, amended their rules in 2016. I read them last night.
The NSAC rules now say that an athlete who tests positive will no longer be given a pass because of accidental use unless he can prove that the ingredients in the product he used were incorrectly listed, or he can give a reasonable argument that he had no way of knowing he was at risk.
Canelo can't say he had no way of knowing that eating Mexican beef put him at risk, because the risk was known to everybody.
If NSAC apply their rules impartially, the fight will be off and Canelo will be suspended.Comment

That's a small sample of athletes that actually tested positive for clenbuterol. If the problem is so rampant you would think there would be a story every week of Mexican athletes testing positive.
I've yet to see an athlete test positive for steroids and the reaction was to admit that they did it willingly. Tainted meat is just one of many excuses some athletes use to cheat.Comment
