NSAC, who are holding the enquiry into Canelo's positive test, amended their rules in 2016. I read them last night.
The NSAC rules now say that an athlete who tests positive will no longer be given a pass because of accidental use unless he can prove that the ingredients in the product he used were incorrectly listed, or he can give a reasonable argument that he had no way of knowing he was at risk.
Canelo can't say he had no way of knowing that eating Mexican beef put him at risk, because the risk was known to everybody.
If NSAC apply their rules impartially, the fight will be off and Canelo will be suspended.

That would probably get him off, but unless the meat supplier or restaurant is still selling tainted meat as "inspected" it would be impossible for him to prove.

yeah, i agree, if they did that in the past, most likely they have probably fixed it by now, after all the scandal... unless they acted fast , who knows...
