The bottom line is Hearn doesn't want Wilder to upstage Joshua at his own event. Wilder is loud and does a lot of his antics. Next to Joshua the difference in personality would be night and day. There's nothing wrong with it just don't try and spin it around like Wilder is being ungrateful by not attending. Why would he attend if Hearn is clearly not interested in making the fight next?

What interview did Hearn tell Wilder not to come? From every interview I've watched he wanted Wilder to come, especially as Wilder was meant to be working for sky. He was just against him coming in the ring for a fight that's not signed lol.

This may actually be a smart play by Wilder's people if they're doing what I think they're doing. Eddie likes keeping Joshua in the UK over in his comfort zone while they develop him a little more. Makes sense. If Wilder goes there for the AJ/Parker fight, they can take the press from it and say, "See?! The fight has to be over here! Look how much attention they've paid to him! It would be a mega-fight over here!" A lot of the chatter from former heavyweight boxers, other promoters and some of the ESPN guys think that Vegas is where that fight should take place as it is (somehow) believed Vegas could generate more for the two fighters than a soccer stadium. If that's Wilder's team's play--it's actually a pretty solid no show.

Wilder would have had a chance to get his version of events, whether i believe them or not, across. Now, Hearn gets to tell all the journos, and by extension the fans, that its Wilder ducking, he doesnt want it with Whyte, doesn't want to fight AJ, he was demanding 50/50 all that stuff.

This isnt about being right, this is about controlling the narrative. Wilder has given up that opportunity by not attending imo
