The bottom line is Hearn doesn't want Wilder to upstage Joshua at his own event. Wilder is loud and does a lot of his antics. Next to Joshua the difference in personality would be night and day. There's nothing wrong with it just don't try and spin it around like Wilder is being ungrateful by not attending. Why would he attend if Hearn is clearly not interested in making the fight next?

That's exactly right! It can only help the demand for the superfight sooner rather than later.

If Wilder goes there for the AJ/Parker fight, they can take the press from it and say, "See?! The fight has to be over here! Look how much attention they've paid to him! It would be a mega-fight over here!" A lot of the chatter from former heavyweight boxers, other promoters and some of the ESPN guys think that Vegas is where that fight should take place as it is (somehow) believed Vegas could generate more for the two fighters than a soccer stadium. If that's Wilder's team's play--it's actually a pretty solid no show.

But... he was supposed to come to the Uk while walking around shouting 'Bombsquad', and show everyone who's the boss.

I feel Wilder on this. They know who you won't and yes they will side-step for a Dillain Whyte bout. Just make the fight if he beats Parker.. if THEY really want it.

Notice how Hearn kept mentioning Dillian Shyte in every other sentence?

That's why Wilder isn't going over there, he's sick to death of them hiding Joshua from him behind this Beetlejuice looking nobody.

Not being a promoter fan boy by saying that.

All the worlds boxing media are gonna be at this event. Plenty of the UK mainstream sport media too. Wilder would have had a chance to get his version of events, whether i believe them or not, across. Now, Hearn gets to tell all the journos, and by extension the fans, that its Wilder ducking, he doesnt want it with Whyte, doesn't want to fight AJ, he was demanding 50/50 all that stuff.

This isnt about being right, this is about controlling the narrative. Wilder has given up that opportunity by not attending imo

And he could have attended and told all the UK sports media that he doesnt want Whyte, he wants Joshua. That would have put a lot of pressure of Joshua and Hearn.

Now Hearn gets to tell whatever bs he wants to media.
