Can someone explain to me how a guy like Wilder hasn't lost yet?

    Overlooked factor.

Plus speed. Plus probably the best-conditioned heavyweight of his generation.

Throw in the power and it’s obvious why he hasn’t lost.

He's not textbook but he's highly effective. He actually landed more punches than Ortiz last night. He's actually a tremendous talent with a stiff jab, and an opportunistic right that is a total fight ender. Ortiz fights in textbook HW style, great skills and power and he couldn't do it. Southpaw as well

He doesn't need fundamentals. He's a freak of nature. Can cover half a ring's distance in a millisecond. Freakish power. Easily the most mobile fighter in the division. And we now know that he has a much tougher chin and heart than he was given credit for. Only fighter who stands a chance in the division is Fury.

Honestly, I love watching Wilder and he's an awesome dude, but I think the same thing all the time. His fundamentals are horrible, lol. Just as his name implies though, his wild nature when he starts throwing the bombs are impossible to prepare for. They come from all over the place and you catch one, it's been lights out for them. That is why he hasn't lost yet.

            This^^^^^^

Holyfield (whom I rarely agree with, except now) said Wilder is winning on determination, heart and power. He said every fighter he fights is more experienced than Wilder but he keeps finding a way to win, which impresses Evander.

Because many are so focused on his offensive technique, that they ignore he knows how to avoid being hit very well. Whatever you want to credit his defense for, he has an effective one.

Easy. That is how shtty the HW division is and nothing has changed since the early 2000s..

Only decent HWs are Fury and Joshua and both of these guys would beat Wilder.

A lot of people confuse the aesthetics with actually boxing skill. Wilder's punches look nuts but he's able to land more than hes not. That's boxing skill.

He's got a get out of jail card with his power. But other than that, yeah, he's a **** boxer. Looks like a new born giraffe.
