Can someone explain to me how a guy like Wilder hasn't lost yet?

    Joseph Parker? Tyson Fury?

I think Parker gets knocked out. I know he has a decent chin, but I don't think he has the power to keep Wilder off of him. Don't see him surviving 12.

The Fury that beat Klitschko would be Wilder's worst nightmare because Wilder would likely get into a hole on the scorecards and then it becomes a race against time to try to catch him. Maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. Might be a coin flip. But that's the type of fighter I could definitely see going the distance and getting the decision.

The problem is that I don't think that Fury exists anymore and I don't think that Fury will ever exist again. He's been out so long. He put on so much weight. He did a huge quantity of hard drugs. I have serious doubts that Fury can ever be a top heavyweight again.

Yes this. And that right hand has so much power he realistically only needs one opening per fight. Modern HW's don't possess the type of skill and defensive techniques that fighters did in the past, hence Deontay will always get the one opening he needs. In some respects he can be a little bit like David Tua; behind on the scorecards, not showing much and then boom! the other guy makes half a mistake and that's all he needs.

He will lose one day as his own defence is leaky and while his chin may be better than first thought I don't think it is an iron chin either. No-one can deny though, he's exciting to watch and makes the division a lot more fun.

Because he's fighting dudes who are historically weak competition. It's not his fault, but it's what we have to judge him on. It's worse than Rocky Marciano or even Joe Louis during their bad competition runs.

Wilder’s athleticism, power and will is responsible for his success. Ortiz clearly has more boxing skill. Wilder caught him and Ortiz couldn’t handle it. A younger hungrier opponent with skill will handle Wilder. Props to Wilder for rallying back and finishing Ortiz.

Because he has more skills than people think, but they aren't textbook so they can't see it

Quite an anomaly indeed. One thing that’s for certain is that he’s an exciting fighter and his will and determination is unrivaled. He’s so gifted athletically ... I wish Emanuel steward was still around... Freddie or hunter would suffice tho

If he fights all the best guys I think he will get beat. Up to now Ortiz is the first legit top 5 contender and all of his other wins were against guys who were not very good. He damn near did lose to Ortiz and if Ortiz was 5 years younger he probably would have KOed Wilder. I think if Wilder fights the Parker vs AJ winner or Miller he might get beat.

Size and power coupled with weak opposition.
