if you're actually a fan of boxing craft, skills etc...I don't understand how anyone can be a fan of wilder at all. along with people who hate him cuz of his skin color, there's also people who support him cuz of his skin color. why all the unjustified support of wilder?

Pls lets not overhype him...he was falling on the ground from missing punches and overreaching against szpilka and was made to look a fool at times vs subpar opposition.

I was just talking about this......little southpaw Szpilka made him look bad for 9 rounds ...now hes facing a very very experienced southpaw with power and reach....cant wait until saturday -- I AM EXCITE !!

i like Wilder when hes not windmilling...but I gotta pick kong in this fight .

But no one here (Denmark) knows who the hell Wilder is, they all know AJ, but no one heard about Wilder. Pretty annoying.
just fire off some youtube to some friends lol. Or even just put a "top Wilder KO's" video on youtube. People will see it. I seem to live in MMA central lately, and I hate it.

          Excellent point.

I'd say those numbers just about cancel each other out.

I don't see a lot of hate for Crawford

I don't see fighters such as Takam, Indongo, or even Danny Jacobs getting a lot of hate now either.

Fighters like Garcia, Alvarez, Golovkin, Thurman etc seem to generate their fair share of 'hate', despite none of them being black.

I think race is a convenient excuse for a lot of detraction on here. I would argue links to certain promoters, alongside brash attitudes with barely any wins to back this up generates a lot of 'hate' towards fighters. Race is largely irrelevant.

There are instances of racism in boxing, but is usually from the American audience. Some parts of American society have fallen so behind the rest of the modern world, so its too be expected. But it works both ways. Take the UK for example of a stark contrast, fighters of white, black and asian skin colours have all been accepted by the wider UK boxing fanbase.

not at all...but if someone trashes a guy like pacquiao and is a fan of wilder, it doesn't quite add up.

Why would that not add up? People have various reasons why they like one boxer and dislike another. Maybe it's their personal belief that Pacquiao is a drug cheat and a catch-weight abuser.
