According to Khan's evergrowing exaggeration about Canelo's fight night weight for their fight, i think Canelo entered the ring at 247lbs.

I've never heard that in my life.

Do you have a source for that?

It kinda feels like he is exploiting the whole weight gain thing.

Any other specific examples of fighters who came in ridiculously heavy on fight night? What are your thoughts?

I agree. And Canelo is like 5'7.5" or even 5'8" in a good day. He is probably weighs between 172-175.

Khan said you got your numbers mixed up. He said Canelo was 274 lbs! Lmao

The truth is that most of these numbers are rumours and no more. I'm sure 16 to 18 pounds rehydration is possible but not sure about 25 pounds. If a fighter could rehydrate by that much, it would have a negative effect.

The most added weight I know of from "same day" weigh in's was LaMotta. Beginning in 1949 he struggled to make weight at Middleweight and would chew and spit the last 3 days before scale morning.
After making 160 Jake could easily re hydrate to 181lbs.
between 8AM and bell time (10 to 11PM)
After 1951 he never made weight again and his intensity was also gone.
I think the struggle to make weight added to his intense dislike for opponents, nice reasoning.

Good question though, since the end of same-day weigh-ins this is a big factor in boxing now. Personally i think every fighter should step on the scales before fighting so we can actually compare who fights at what weight.
Each of his balls weigh 5 pounds thats why he's so slow footed

I vaguely recall a fight taking place not too many years back and they rehydrated 24 or 26lbs I believe. Could be well off but I want to say it may have been Edwin Rodrigues.

Chavez Jr used to blow up 20lbs.
