Could well of been Edwin Rodriguez though I may of got the numbers slightly off that or he blew up even more another time.

    22lbs! Crazy ****

One of Ross Greenburg’s last projects before he was shown the exit at HBO was to create a show similar to Showtime’s ShoBox: The New Generation. The premise of the show was pitting young talents in against each other and /or against tough veterans that would test the talents of the young prospect. Since Greenburg’s

Slightly off topic, but i read about a UFC fight once featuring Thiago Alves.

''Thiago Alves came in at 170.5 on the scale for his fight tonight against Martin Kampmann at UFC on FX2. The incredible and possibly Guinness World Records worthy part of this whole tale about how much a man weighs is this: According to Alves' nutritional adviser Mike Dolce, Thiago regained nearly thirty pounds in three hours. There is even a picture of feet on a scale and everything to prove it.''

I don't recall the fight, so don't know the ins and outs. Or if it was true or just a story from their fight camp. Pretty crazy though.

"I climb into the ring at whatever weight that's going to give me the win, whether it's 180 or 190 pounds - if I think it's the appropriate [weight] for me on the day of the fight.
          Canelo.
WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs) believes he gave very fair terms to Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) for their upcoming showdown on May 7th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

At middleweight cutting 25-30 lbs and regain most of it come fight night is Kindergarten
Chavez jr, Abraham, Canela, Jacobs and so on
There are many size cheats using high dosages of bloating gear then diuretics then IVs
That's why the 24hr weigh in rule was made for, fighters should not kill each other

James Toney put on about 20 lbs when he fought Ernest mateen. That was not too long after everyone was surprised he put on 17 lbs for the RJJ fight

I don’t know how much Gerald McClellan put on overnight but I’m sure it was a lot. Michael Moorer too.

Any other specific examples of fighters who came in ridiculously heavy on fight night? What are your thoughts?
