Biggest weight gain from weight in

I remember reading reports that Canelo weighted in at 185lbs come fight night with Golovkin.

It kinda feels like he is exploiting the whole weight gain thing.

Any other specific examples of fighters who came in ridiculously heavy on fight night? What are your thoughts?

    Gatti vs Gamache.

    Gatti gained 19 lbs. 141 to 160.

He must have some heavy bones as he didn't look like 185 to me.

Good question though, since the end of same-day weigh-ins this is a big factor in boxing now. Personally i think every fighter should step on the scales before fighting so we can actually compare who fights at what weight.

No way in hell was he 185 lbs.

Heaviest he's been unofficially is 174 lbs if I'm not mistaken.

That seems about right. Kelly Pavlik used to rehydrate to about 177 so the idea Canelo was 185 seems far-fetched.

There's no evidence to suggest that he's ever weighed 180lbs in the ring.

The highest I know of is Rios against Bradley who unofficially weighed 170 lbs, so around 23 lbs rehydration.

Lamont weighed something like 165 for his fight with Garcia which was at 140
