If Scum Arum is smart and not salty , he would put Loma-Linares on HBO together with the replay of the biggest fight of the year.

He can put what other mismatches he have on ESPN that day.

You do know ESPN is all in and giving prime TV time to Top Rank with nearly three times the house holds than HBO, right? People, come on. ESPN/Top Rank has been fantastic for both sides, the boxers, and us fans. If ESPN says we want Lomachenko to fight on the 12th, every else be ignored.

Bob Arum has gotten great fights in free TV and is making great coin for his fighters. Lomachenko will not fight on HBO on the 12th. He will fight someone on the 12th on ESPN. I hope it is the fight we all prefer to see, but if not it will still on free TV.

Wouldn't change the fact that ESPN needs a big fight on 5/12. And who knows if 5/26 works for ESPN even if TR had another big fight they could deliver 5/12.

So I guess we end up with Loma/Beltran. Which is unfortunate. I personally don't recognize the WBO and was looking forward to Loma fighting for a proper world title.
