Round and round it goes, where it stops nobody knows.

Loma should go b^tch slap Arum if he doesn't make this fight for him & get him a better payday then Arum was giving him.

If Arum was smart he'd let Loma go to HBO as a one off. Throw him in some ESPN trunks or something lol. Whitewash Linares like we all expect & already have a ESPN date + opponent for his next fight set that he can hype during the post fight interview.

Exactly. And Arum is smart, but his saltiness gets the best of him far too much & I'd bet it wins here too.

If Loma is smart he'd get with Arum & say "wtf lets make the fight on HBO" cuz this is good for Loma's career & this is a 90/10 fight worse case. Loma is assured of winning as much as one can be.

Two things. #1, ESPN specifically wants a big fight on May 12 to capitalize on the NBA playoff game earlier that night.

#2, Showtime has TWO shows on May 19, one headlined by Keith Thurman and one headlined by Adonis Stevenson. Showtime likely does three or four fights that night, including three world title fights. TR would rather go head to head with HBO's replay of a week old fight than go head to head with Showtime's live fights on 5/19.

Wouldn't change the fact that ESPN needs a big fight on 5/12. And who knows if 5/26 works for ESPN even if TR had another big fight they could deliver 5/12.

So I guess we end up with Loma/Beltran. Which is unfortunate. I personally don't recognize the WBO and was looking forward to Loma fighting for a proper world title.

I don't know if Arum has an obligation to make his best fights on ESPN but if he really wants to build Loma, he would put Loma with Linares on HBO that day. Not Loma-Linares or Loma-Beltran on ESPN.

He can make Beltran defend the Top Rank belt vs bum on ESPN that day if Beltran win tomorrow.

ESPN has four year exclusivity on the TR stable. Arum would have to seek special permission from ESPN and think about how that conversation would go.

ESPN: We need a huge fight on 5/12 after the NBA playoffs.

Arum: Instead of giving you the huge fight you want, can I please give HBO a huge fight that night instead? Even though we just signed an exclusive four year deal guaranteeing that TR's stars only fight on ESPN, ESPN PPV and ESPN's upcoming subscription service?

                    ESPN: Are you high?

He can build the unfication by putting Beltran vs bum for him to look good that night.
