That's not saying much. They would've made the biggest paydays of their life no matter when they fought. The fight probably would've made more if it had happened before we saw Pacquiao slept (again).

He made 2 million for Garcia (both did) and less for Porter. He and Spence will make slightly more probably, but not much more by fighting in Q1 2019, as opposed to Q4 2018. I think the delay in this fight has more to do with Thurman trying to get back into the groove of things, not necessarily because it'll make more money next year.

Floyd and Manny didn't let the fight marinate. Manny refused to fight using Olympic style drug testing. When he became willing to fight using Olympic style drug testing, they fought.

I’m really not sure about spence fight and whether it will grow or not. But in the case of Joshua Wilder for instance, that has massive opportunity to grow in the US. People talk about Vegas for that fight but clearly it needs to grow wilders resume and popularity enough to warrant it first.

Apples and oranges. With may and pac they had different promoters, network issues, and different managers. They were also cash cows. Spence and thurman have the same manager and promoter. Also it's a unification fight not a money fight. Neither are cash cows.
