its very possible haymon is using his own personal money to pay these guys behind the scenes so that they stay with him. if he is willing to lose tens of millions of dollars he can do this but its not sustainable. its short term thinking and an unwillingness to admit defeat.

if this is true this also doesnt change that mikey could fight anyone and still get this money since its not part of the official purse. he chose lipinets which means he is not interested in fighting good fighters or that haymon is bribing him and will only give him that big money if he fights bums.

No one but Dan Rafael said anything about Spence being promised $3.5 million. Rafael was obviously misinformed, because after the fight, he reported the official purse for Spence was $1.2 million, but failed to mention that this was in spite of being promised triple that.

See, you're talking about something different. Being no. 1 and better than the rest at 130 isn't the same as P4P. And the eye test depends on your lens. Not saying he is P4P but I'll take Joshua getting off the mat and delivering that beautiful uppercut to Klitschko killing his momentum and ending the fight anyday over what Loma did to the much smaller and outmatched Rigo. If Loma is your guy, then you should want to see him truly tested to prove to the world what you already believe. That's boxing!
