Linares looked like he's losing the exolosiveness, slowing down a bit more in the Gesta fight. Jorge couldn't get it past third-gear against Luke Campbell either. Without the knockdown, I had it a draw. Those are not the kind of performances that would give me any confidence if he gets in with Loma. No disrespect to Linares, but those back to back losses years back...I don't remember him ever looking like his old self again since. He's an old 32, even for the lower weights, holding his own on skill and veteran guile despite the winning streak.

Stylistically this is one of the best fights that can be made in the sport. Let's go!

this is a much more competitive fight for Linares then him fighting Garcia. Linares is extremely fast, skilled, high volume puncher and bigger and longer then Loma who wasn't a big puncher at 130 will be even less a puncher moving up. Mikey is huge and was a devastating puncher at 130 and 135. Linares has never been outboxed his one Achilles heal early his career was fragile skin. But his face has held up now for 6 years and against bigger punchers then Loma. So I think this comes down to a high speed 12 round chess match. Loma should be the favorite but don't be shocked if Linares wins this. Against Mikey he might win some rounds early off pure skill but it's just a matter of time till Mikey touches him and rips his face apart. I don't think we have to worry about that from Loma's slaps.

Linares is 1 solid champ and should be a shoe-in for HOF. But with that said, I personally cant help thinking everytime Linares fights, he has a real good chance of losing. I personally think itd be a HUGE win if Loma beats Linares but if others feel as I do about Linares always being on the brink of a loss, prepare for hate.

I think that contributes to most of the reasons. The "reasons" used are more excuses as a cover up for the real reason which is blatantly based on ethnicity.
You got it backwards. Floyd gets ****ted on the media but loma gets praised. Floyd is arrogant, loma is confident it goes on & on. You hear very little of fans bashing loma. I hear positives from the media of loma. You do it don't you?

Who mentioned Floyd? You are obsessed. Elite level African American fighters have been loved and are still spoken of highly - Jones, Leonard, Hagler, Ali, Hearns.

You fall into that category of people I was referring to.
