Wrong again, Mikey is worried Bumachenko beats Linares because then he will have to fight Loma to unify. Any thoughts?

Didn't you say he will duck Rigo and Walters and those fights wont happen?

Remind me who you picked again?

Huh? To be no.1 surely you just have to be better than the rest of the contenders for p4p?

Today's boxing scene is not littered with a plethora of ATGs like the eighties - so no need for that additional testing imo.

Recent Resume plus a bit of the eye test. Loma passes the ey test for me plus in beating Russell Walters and Rigo his recent resume is better than any other fighter's.

somebody will come back and yap that he got beaten. So what. The fact he took Russell on next speaks for his character and confidence.

This should be a good fight! I don't see Linares quitting. Both are fast and highly skilled. Make it happen.

True. But for a first fight moving up it will look great on Loma's resume providing he wins. Charlo moved up to 160 - who did he fight first fight? Ward at 175 - who?

Lomachenko started off fighting champions and the best of the rest right out of the gate. Why do you think he would duck anyone? Garcia does not pose any particular problems for him. Think about it, unless you are brain dead.

See, you're talking about something different. Being no. 1 and better than the rest at 130 isn't the same as P4P. And the eye test depends on your lens. Not saying he is P4P but I'll take Joshua getting off the mat and delivering that beautiful uppercut to Klitschko killing his momentum and ending the fight anyday over what Loma did to the much smaller and outmatched Rigo. If Loma is your guy, then you should want to see him truly tested to prove to the world what you already believe. That's boxing!

"...somebody will come back and yap that he got beaten." Yep, he did and they will but Loma is in good company: Ali, Leonard, Robinson, Joe Louis, Duran and, with a couple of exceptions, so has everyone else in the Boxing Hall of fame.
