Loooooool. Alt? Don't know them? You're exactly what I described. A pretentious, attention seeking twat.

Look at me!!! I can list boxers from yesteryear!!! I've been to live fights!!!

    That's you in a nutshell.

ChrisJS making a clown of himself again. Going to a fight doesn't prove your know more than anyone else about the sport. Ellie Seckbach has probably been to 100s of fights and he doesn't know shit.

I agree he doesn't know **** but he knows more than you. He can probably identify the fighter in my sig unlike you and if I mention other hall of famers he may recognize them but you wouldn't.

You are kind of a Mayweather fan. Not fully since a real fan would buy a ticket. That's it. Your not a boxing fan. Sorry.

          There's nothing in your sig.

I've been to quite a few fights. Never a Mayweather fight because they're a little far away from the UK. I guarantee lots on this forum have been to fights too. They just don't feel the need to brag about it because it doesn't really mean that much. But obviously you believe it does.

I've travelled to many fights. PR, Mexico, England, Wales, NYC, Vegas and LA and other venues like Houston for example. It's. not that diffict to travel if you are a real fan IMO.

I'll never rub it in anyone's face about going to fights because others have priorities but I'll rub it in fanboys faces that tell people who to root for when they won't even pay themselves to go to real fights. Especially when posters like you who have called me a casual because I don't think Mayweather is the goat.

Yes there is a fighter in my sig FYI. You wouldn't know him anyway I'm sure.

I see nothing in your sig.

This is a massive forum with thousands of posters logging in daily, i see only you constantly bringing up "i go to fights", do you believe only you out of all these posters go to fights? Or is it only you that feels the need to mention it?

I only need to mention it to posters like you who call people casuals because their opinion differs. I'll never disrespect someone who pays to go to fights like myself but when someone doesn't and tells you who to root for and that everyone are casuals I'll throw that in their face

I'm noting here that while ChrisJS does appear to have ruffled a few feathers there are few signs of anyone presenting their own lists... which is, as I understand it, the point of the thread.

I'd like to point out, for those of you that are wary of criticism or ridicule, that any such lists are really no more meaningful and just as pointless as P4P lists or any of the fantasy match-ups that get thrown out there. Nobody can prove you wrong, and everyone will have a different idea of what 'greatness' is so feel free to throw your opinion out there.

                  Anyway:

                  Hank Armstrong
                  Willie Pep
                  Benny Leonard
                  Roberto Duran
                  Joe Gans

Does Floyd have a claim? yeah, sure, if you like. Unbeaten multi-weight champ. Probably the consistently best fighter P4P of the last 20 years and certainly the most successful financially... why not?

Yeah not really logical to be honest.

I know loads of Mayweather fans who haven't seen him fight live. I have seen him fight live numerous times but that doesn't mean I'm a bigger fan than someone who hasn't.

I never watched Carlos Monzon fight live does that not make me a fan? Backwards logic.

There's loads of fighters I've watched live that I'm not even a fan of like Eubank, Amir Khan, Andre Ward, Frank Bruno etc etc etc then there's loads of fighters I am a fan of who I haven't seen fight live.

Plus, saying someone hasn't gone to a fight is an assumption on your part anyway.

I think if you have had a chance to see them live i.e. as in active when your an active fight fan with money to watch fights but decide not to go. If the dude is before your time then it's understandable. I'm a Salvador Sanchez fan but never was alive when he was but if he was active when I was an adult who could pay to see a fight I'd have seen him as I did Marquez a dozen or so times for example.
